He worried the hinge of Stede’s jaw between his teeth and felt his cock twitch in his trousers at the sound of Stede’s soft whimper. He pulled back and scraped the sharp curve of the blade up Stede’s throat like he did when he could convince Stede to let Ed be the one to get rid of the stubble on his face.
“Half the reason I let the lads cut so loose on that ship was because I was worried that bastard had ended you before I had a chance to mess you up myself,” Ed told him, breathing heavily.
Stede started to edge along the wall again as soon as he eased his grip on that curly blond hair. Ed followed close enough that their legs were in danger of tangling with each faltering step Stede took.
“I wondered why you were so friendly from the start,” Stede said breathlessly. He licked his lips before the corner of his mouth quirked upward in a nervous grin. “Everyone thought I was crazy when I described Blackbeard in such glowing terms.”
Ed made a curious sound, stepped fully into Stede’s space to press their hips together. “Did you?” he purred.

“Well?”

“‘Well’ what?” Stede asked, gesturing for another round before giving Ed his attention. His breath hitched at the heat he saw simmering in Edward’s dark eyes. “Really?”

Ed shrugged, trying to seem nonchalant. “Could be hot,” he said.

“It could be dangerous,” Stede countered.

“Yeah,” Ed replied, his voice thick and rasping. He stretched a long leg out under the table and hooked his foot around Stede’s ankle. “It could.”

Stede held Edward’s eyes for a charged moment as he rubbed his boot up the back of Stede’s calf before swallowing thickly. “You’d want to?”

“Would I want to see the look on Low’s face knowing that he only gets you this once? That he lost, and I won, and then I get to rub it in his face every time we come by?” Ed asked. “Would I want to see how pretty you look getting it from both ends? Yeah, yeah I fuckin’ would.”

The rumble of his voice made Stede shift in his seat as wine and want mixed together to curl in his gut as Ned ducked back inside, and Stede knew his answer.
