Sure you could have Zada too, but you're ignoring the Nephilim in the room.
Psssst. Nephilim Epochal might be the Five-Color Orvar commander of your dreams. Don't tell your playgroup I told you. 🤫🤫🤫🤫
Hatsune Miku isn't my thing, but THANK YOU WIZARDS for this change. Happy to wait for products if we get a chance to buy them! magic.wizards.com/en/news/anno...
This video caused me to gather data on my personal win percentages in each seat at the Commander table and I will never recover from this information. (The third column shows how changed each win percentage is from my average win percentage.)
I've spent the last few weeks assembling a friendly neighborhood postman deck, featuring such mail-related cards as: Dispatch, Inherited Envelope, and Four Knocks. I played him for the first time today and it's a blast. archidekt.com/decks/238224...
Arriving in Amsterdam with a rather conservative Magic bag. Can’t wait to see you all!
This card is Insurrection in Limited. Opponent used it to steal my Wiccan and lock me out of creatures. lol
I started the turn with 72 cards in my hand (got Windfalled with a Wedding Ring, 3 cards in deck). During the turn, I cast Converter, attempted to resolve an Ark of Hunger that would have killed the table (it got countered), and then swung with an enormous Academic! archidekt.com/decks/217485...
This week, I discarded 65 cards to Hardened Academic and made a REAL big bird with Currency Converter. After it was chump-blocked, I realized the Academic puts the counters on any creature. 🤦
Prerelease deck was sweet. Jeskai artifacts with some cool synergy. Vision Quest to find Iron Man was nasty.
In case you're as dumb as me: If you want to play a creature and activate the Power-up in the same turn, it costs the written Power-up cost (total). You do not have to cast the creature, subtract the mana value and then pay the rest. The way I was doing the MATH. 🤦🤦🤦
So Jimmy and I are worthy of Mjolnir, but @joshleekwai.bsky.social is not? Hmmmm
Reading this card is like trying to read TV static. Give me a text box, I'm begging you.
I've been a big fan of Summoner's Sending in Excava lately. It's not a perfect Bitterblossom, obviously; you have to exile a creature card to get the token. But incidental graveyard hate and repeatable flyers has been pretty sick!
Witherbloom has been hit or miss for me, but this one hit! 6-3 with a deck that draws a ton of cards and gains a ton of life. Could have used another removal spell or another threat. But very fun.
Prismari has continued to elude me in this draft format and I finally got a deck together that felt pretty good! 5-3 with some very fun rares.
There are two cards with Devour in the Witherbloom precon, but Gorma officially does NOT see Devoured creatures in time to have them enter with additional counters. Super confusing interaction to put in a precon, but nice to have a definitive answer. Share with your Witherbloom friends!
First draft of Strixhaven and went 7-0 with a pretty messy Silverquill deck. I was impressed with how well it hung together with a medium suite of targeted spells, except Killian's Confidence. That card's nuts. Ral felt terrible. Duelist was incredible. Researcher lived up to billing, pretty good.
Went to a Prerelease last night and went 2-1 with a nasty little Silverquill deck. I did not photograph it because I’m bad at *content.* Lost to a sick Temur build with TWO Quandrixes and the Izzet board wipe. THEN, I drafted a spicy Witherbloom deck this morning with friends and cleaned up! 3-0
I think these are the four coolest Abzan Commanders. But, full disclosure, I've built ~4 Abzan decks and taken them all apart so... I feel for you.
Dragon’s Approach got a new dragon tutor target and I don’t want to cut anyyyyyy.
Honestly, I probably won't play it for that reason. Cyclonic Rift is just too powerful to have it be such a teensy pony. But I do run this, so teensy isn't always bad. Haha
I owe you an apology, Strixhaven. I was not familiar with your Pony game.
So apparently this actually doesn't work with Prosper because he specifies playing a "card" from exile. And these are copies.
Interesting. "A copy of its prepare spell appears in exile." I'll be watching the prepared spells closely for cast from exile decks!
