Justin J. Pearson has won his primary election for Congress in Tennessee. His campaign is built on one idea: government should work for everyday people — not the rich, and not corporations. That's not a slogan, it's a fight he knows well. And he's ready to take it to DC.
Donavan McKinney took on a multimillionaire corporate Democrat. And you guessed it…he won. Crypto PACs spent millions to protect one of their biggest allies in Congress. They failed. Now Michigan’s poorest district is one step closer to having representation they can count on.
Will Lawrence stood up to AI billionaires pushing massive data centers into Michigan communities. He connected that fight to rising utility bills, strained resources, and corporations making decisions without community consent. Voters listened, and he won too.
Abdul El-Sayed faced more outside spending in a Democratic primary than any Senate candidate in history. But he stayed focused on working families, young voters, and people who had lost faith in the system. And he won.
These three candidates in Michigan came for the establishment. They all just won. A movement is building.

The race is looking tight. But polling shows that when voters read about McKinney, he pulls ahead. So spread the word.
McKinney is running against a 71-year-old incumbent who has spent millions of his own dollars on his campaigns, including this one. Outside groups are spending heavily too. Meanwhile, McKinney's campaign relies on individual donors, unions, and grassroots supporters.
Former union organizer turned state representative, @donavanmckinney.bsky.social is running for Congress in Michigan. His platform includes getting big money out of politics, protecting workers' right to unions and living wages, plus healthcare and housing guarantees.
Corporate donors are spending millions because they're worried. They've watched grassroots candidates win races that many thought they'd lose (like Melat Kiros in Colorado, Randy Villegas in California, and Chris Rabb in Pennsylvania) and they don't want that trend to continue.
Lawrence is going after tech billionaires and data centers. @wewill2026.bsky.social says the AI boom shouldn't happen without public guardrails. His message: communities deserve a real say before massive data centers move into their neighborhoods.

@melatkirosco.bsky.social has won her primary election in her race for Congress in Colorado. She is the daughter of Ethiopian immigrants, a lawyer, and Ph.D. student running a people-powered campaign to take on corruption, lower costs, and make government work for working people - not the rich.
Maryland told a similar story. Working Families Party-backed candidates won key races by focusing on the issues people ACTUALLY face, not politics as usual.
The momentum didn't stop there. With its wide slate of new wins, the New York Working Families Party is poised to have at least 59 state senators and 28 assembly members in its fast growing governing bloc.
One of the biggest wins: Brad Lander defeated a millionaire, corporate-backed incumbent to win his congressional primary. It's another sign that grassroots campaigns can beat big money.
A political shift is happening...and last week's elections are proof. The Working Families Party has been sowing the seeds of this movement for almost 30 years. Voters in New York and Maryland proved our hard work is paying off. And it's just the beginning:
