TeenCHAT Watching things like this really make me appreciate indie animation and young storytelling. It’s super funny but it also has real emotion, and being from a young black artist means something to me. Visually it’s nothing too crazy but the animation and compositing do improve over time.
WE ARE SO OPIUM! This one’s a little esoteric as it revolves around being a parody of rappers associated with the OPIUM label (Carti, Ken & Lone) but even if you don’t get the references, it’s got fun designs, great expressions and hilarious voice acting.
Get Fatter Now! It’s odd title enticed me enough to watch it and I was not let down (except they dont actually get fat). The first episode was charming but the second and third had me laughing my ass off. Sadly the creator is done with this series but I’ll never forget how Mr Egg put me in tears
Anna-Logue Oozing with all the charm of an N64 Platformer, this cute little show does a great job giving insight into programming from the lens of a playtester making their own fun, unintended from the developers. The animation and voice acting is great and I think the creator’s even making a game
I got like an hour on this bus so I want to shill a couple of my favorite indie cartoons that aren’t super popular _boisvert A surreal and abstract experience, often a little hard to understand but that gives way to unique interpretations. It’s eerie, raw, and emotionally resonant. Room the goat
