Selfies are tough with feathers! New-to-me pumpkin orange flight suit for Falco Lombardi. It’s thicker and warmer than the other jumpsuits I’ve tried, but the color is pretty spot-on.
I found our old text messages. At AC 2011 I borrowed a jackal but didn’t fit. Instead I wore Pachinko for the parade. Dang I woulda loved being a boo bun.

I read that as most number of wearers? That might be Champ. He was @electropaw.bsky.social ‘s loaner suit, a great many furries’ first fursuit experience was as this Guinness award poster pup, from 2006 until I adopted him in 2018. I’ve tried starting a list of borrowers, far from complete.
A bunny chose ME! 80s: started with Bugs, Rabbit (Pooh), & Roger Rabbit. 1990: I found furry, I made a bunny self-portrait named Bunnell. 1995: I moved west, reinvented myself as a coyote. 1996 I made fursuit Yippee Coyote. 2008: Twilight became real, told me “Jimmy, you’ve ALWAYS been a bunny.”

Bird is still floppy. I’ve got some sheet foam structure inside and the feathering is still in progress. Maybe I need some more structure inside the back head tufts. Needs bigger eyes and markings.

Starting to resemble something after a week off and on. I’m trying an outside-in method; I extracted the pattern from Falco’s Smash Melee model, then figure out the inner structure. (Also I don’t have red fur so I’m just forging ahead with Camper’s leftover orange fur, I don’t wanna lose momentum.)
