It seems like a good day to bring up St. Napoleon, whose feast day was on 15 August, the same day as Napoleon Bonaparte's birthday. (Taken from Gallica)
20 June 1789 was a magical day. Defying the king's order that they not meet, deputies of the Third Estate walked to a convenient indoor tennis court and swore an oath to meet wherever they had to so they could fulfill their mission: writing a proper constitution for France.
