I see our latter day Thatcher (Mark that is) at CPAC now has her own carer/minder. Always positioned close enough to be able to jump in at the podium should the Trusster go off on a mad incoherent rant. Never has a man with a peach-hued face been so busy.
From ‘Yes, Prime Minister’ there’s a fairly apt line spoken by Bernard: “That's one of those irregular verbs, isn't it. I have an independent mind, you are an eccentric, he is round the twist.”
I repeatedly had what could be termed (because I did describe them as such) low energy midlife crises. No running off with 22yr old secretaries called Samantha for me (that would have been a shock for all concerned - esp Samantha). I instead went through an assortment of hair colours.
…definitely make the new public space a sparkling Robert dazzler. It’s a shame that Leicester station’s recent loss of an adjacent deco building to create new open public realm meant the total loss of this architectural style in the immediate vicinity. 📸: Google StreetView Nov ‘22 & Apr ‘26. (2of2)
Bruce has already since yesterday had a small group of admirers from amongst my friends and I after we read of his adventures. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Recently closed Islington branch of Laki Kane on Upper Street seemingly provided a service that should have kept it in business. #Islington #UpperStreet #LakiKane
Is it just the SL7 or is this available on other #Superloop routes as well? May have to try them out if true 😛 #TfL #LondonBuses #Buses #TransportforLondon
A survivor like at least one of her biped dads. Space Liney wishes her a speedy full recovery.
Below are some of the main *BENEFITS* you get if you have the necessary worth to be able to open a HSBC Private Bank account. And here is a link to Barclay’s equivalent Premier account (an even longer list of freebies): www.barclays.co.uk/premier-bank... Scroungers who *CAN* afford to pay.
If today is the day (despite the date) for Bears sharing their real names then I have a close companion who’d like to proudly announce that his is Douglas.
Thank you @sainsburys.bsky.social for your half-dozen box of eggs where all six turned out to be double yolkers 😀 Was handy for Yorkshire puds, less so when trying to separate them from the whites for macarons 🤯😉
I see there’s a picture (by Will Nichols) of you and a pal in your younger, more boisterous days listed as a finalist in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.
It’s not particularly clear in your repro but my favourite, excitement-inducing part of the poster is the proudly displayed illuminated advert for getting the Underground to Brighton in 15min or Glasgow in 2hr45. I’m less enamoured by the Bovril promotion above however.
After Stephen Yakult-Lemon’s mush was recently seen in the form of some colouring-in on an arm, this evening it appeared in my tea. If nothing else it confirms my atheism. bsky.app/profile/supe...
A mini tribute to the very much missed @janeygodley.bsky.social on this week’s Have I Got A Bit More News For You. I don’t think I’m misinterpreting the expression #SuePerkins showed if I suggest it was humour presented with sincere warmth & respect for Janey.
I wonder if the clock on St Catherine’s church tower in #Montacute, Somerset was designed by Salvador #Dalí. 📸 © St Catherine’s Church
