He/Him. Chinese/Puerto Rican. Ennie award winning writer, professional GM, and all-around nerd. Author of the comic, Folklore.
It's my birthday today, so here's my "you can celebrate me by celebrating my creative work" post! I'm a freelance writer looking for new opportunities to share my love of fantasy and horror with the world. Follow me if you want more comics or TTRPG content in your life! ko-fi.com/34thgingerbr...
I got my Schierke in the mail today! A final gift to myself using the bonus program from my old workplace. Outside of her being adorablle, I really loved that she comes with the spirit she uses to calm down Guts. I'd love to get some spell effects for her to use in the future.
Hi #portfolioday! It's nice to meet you! I'm a fantasy / horror author and lifetime GM crafting stories for you to get lost in. Doesn't matter if it's high fantasy, slice of life comedy, or urban horror - if you're in need of a writer for your next project, I'm open for work! www.adam34th.com/
Today I had my second game of 40k 11th Edition, and my first game against Imperial Knights! They're definitely an intimidating force to fight against, but I managed to secure a victory by turn 4. The real victory is that I only have one more unit to paint!!
These lil guys help me manage distance for players who are big sticklers for range. For the players who are more casual, they're a helpful tool we break out when we don't wanna eyeball it. Gridless freedom.
I've focused a lot on filling my Teldramir maps with small bits that help the surrounding area feel more alive and llived in, but I still need to work on having my encounters feel a little less 'flat', especially in forests or fields. Hills and pleateaus needed! Tips (or sponsors) welcome!
I'm very specific in the kinds of Pokemon I like, but there's a Kleavor card I adore that is a lot of fun. I'll have to think harder on what's in my collection now!
Teldramir today was an epic battle between undead, constructs, and maybe some kind of aristocratic individual. It's the start of a major story arc, introducing a villain I've kept in my back pocket for years!
I forgot to share photos from Teldramir this past weekend! A group of adventurers explore a sinking tower, hunting for cursed items (to be allegedly used in a home security project). This cursed objects quest series has been very silly and funny so far.
No decals yet, but I finished another Sagitaur for my Votann army today. I think I've come close to settling on which League I want to slap some stickers on.
I didn't get a chance to explore too much of TCAF last year, but since I was on the other side of the table this year I got to explore the con with a mission: Find as many fantasy, adventure, and horror stories as possible. I've also been getting more into stationary, so that was my side quest.
Ran some Teldramir at my local coffee shop yesterday! It was my first time running a session in a non-private room. With mostly new community members too!
Another day, another sailing adventure in Teldramir! Today's crew encountered the floating corpse of a colossal crustacean, harvested it, then retreated while the sea began to boil and burn them alive. Just normal things!
Had a chance to play my copy of Tournament Arc this weekend with friends. It was a LOT of silly fun. Very easy to learn. I know this will be added to the board game night rotation so, I'm really hoping they expand on it in the future. Highly recommend picking up a copy from @little-creature.com!
I always feel bad going quiet on bsky, but it's usually because I'm working on so much! Here's what's been taking up my past week: a Teldramir adventure in the woods vs a rogue wizard summoning plant monsters, some kill team, and a big ol' ship! The sails are still WIP. Lots of fun stuff to come!
I wasn't able to finish the ship before my trip, but I managed to get most of it done before today's Teldramir session. A bit of dry brushing (and a full paint job on the sails) and it'll be complete!
The best change I made to the way I approach painting minis is knowing when to say "This is the best I want to do" vs "This is the best I can do". Comparing my work to full time professional painters was killing my morale. Now I say: My work isn't the best. But it's mine, and I love what I've done.
I've been very determined to hit Master Ball rank with Kleavor. Not just in the team but actively kicking ass. I've learned a lot about Pokemon doubles over the past week, and it's felt very good to make it this far without using Charizard, Incineroar, or any other big competitive mainstay.
I came so close to finishing the base coat on the ship before my trip. When I get back I just need to finish the chains holding the gun ports open, and the torches. Then it's wash and drybrush time!
It's Saint Patrick's Day! I have a few green options, depending on if you prefer sci-fi or fantasy!
Today's Teldramir session featured a crumbling mountain, a mean devil, and a bug monster that creates and eats nightmares! The request today was for a monster hunt and between two big baddies and a collapsing mountainside I feel like I achieved the goal.
Slow progress on the ship, but it's progress! Daylight doesn't do this thing justice but it's too large for me to set up any special lighting. I'm looking forward to relaxing while painting a ton of railings and trim.
Embracing the Pokemon vibes this weekend by basking in the glow of my favorite lil guy. He's a champ, and if I find him in Pokopia I will build him a glorious mansion.
A wonderful evening of being creative, enjoying a warm drink, followed by relaxing game time with my bestie.
Now that I've reached a point where my community will be planning for oceanic voyages, I obviously need a ship 'mini' for my community to adventure on! Very excited for this year's Teldramir adventures island hopping on the high seas.
First Teldramir session at the new store today! These rooms are amazing. They did such a great job, I'm so excited for this to be my new home for local sessions.
