Came across this gem of a photo, doing research for a project. Lords 1971, Hutton, Jameson and Illingworth. Photographer K. Saunders
It's great to see Woodsdale back playing at their home ground. Terrific photos by Chris Kidd. Look at that light! midlandsnews.com/gallery-wood...
Not sure about this though. You could probably do the same for Burnie and Eli Templeton.
Thumbnail Hall of Fame with extra commendation for using a Trossard from a different match
Australia should join Belgium and Bosnia Herzogovina in disaffiliating from FIFA over this. The Falogun red card ought to be the crack that we use to lever FIFA apart. www.standaard.be/sport/voetba...
I got these old PO directories when mum and dad moved. 22yo was browsing 1947, flipped to the end, p375. He pointed to Zschech, Sandy Bay and said "woah that's a good name". I had to say it. "He won two flags at Richmond, 32 and 34."
We've traded in the Subaru Outback for this. I'm still working it out; I tried to indicate left and instead brandished a fiery sword of vengeance and released a swan(?)
There's a heavy frost on the south-facing side of our valley this morning. I pulled up the blinds to see someone about 300m away, on the steepest street; inching up towards their driveway on their hands and knees. They finally made it, stood up and hobbled into their house. #drama
I am not a huge Board Games Guy but I passed up a night of work and instead played Carcassonne with 22yo. Recommend. Now back on our phones.
This very naturally led of a discussion of the legal ramifications ie rugby players nicking cars, pies, cans of Fanta and acting like big stupid idiots; but society has to accept that we are to blame: for loving rugby league. It was very funny. The arc of it was incredible. Who else could do this?
I could post lots of screenshots of the transcript but trust me; it was a Science Show level of informed discussion about CTE and rugby league's wilful avoidance of dealing with the issue. 2/n
I have loved him ever since I saw his draft video where he was shown getting his 5 younger siblings off to school, packed lunches and homework checked and PE gear and all.
One of the great things about Queen Camel, Somerset is that you are only 35 minutes from somewhere with an even better name.
5 point bonus for all Tiges but i forgot the 1.5 bonus for No Bartlett which brings this down to a Bob-Beamon-style eternal record score of 0.4.
Apologies to west side pals, I was in the city of Hobson's Bay for one day and did not have a chance to pre-arrange any catch ups. Went to Stereo Stories concert (brilliant) and saw Willy beat GWS (brilliant, cold).
They printed so many Fitzroy cards in 1976. I think sunshine fell asleep with the press running. From a normal 8yo's life of collecting at school I have 8x Ian Millers, 8x Ray Saults and 8x Warwick Irwins.
I'm browsing @mikewozniak.bsky.social's tour locations in the UK; so I just wanted to remind myself where Chesterfield is. I can tell you it's centrally located between Cock Alley, Upper Loads, Wadshelf and Stainsby.
A pink stretch limo is in the car park at Tullamarine Ibis Budget hotel. The red carpet is laid out. It is stuck. This is an absolute butt level one star shed of a hotel beside the McDonalds, off the road to Sunbury.
