This is NOT a story for trans people to read. I want cis people with a jot of empathy to read this, to imagine the kind of unimaginable cruelty that school children in the UK will likely have to deal with on a daily basis, just over a month from now.
Strict Scrutiny’s emergency episode covers the terrible decisions in two cases concerning the US Fourteenth Amendment. It would have been nice to address the unfortunate transphobia that even managed to get into the WV v BPJ dissents, but there was a lot to cover. www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7p4...
Elsewhere I ranted about my own ‘general inherent biological advantage’. LOL. Remember this applies to any sport and in a sufficiently discriminatory and cruel environment, prevents something as simple as a trans girl playing games with their friends.
I don’t normally comment on Australian politics for a reason. Or if I do, I stick to the electoral system (since I have some expertise) and totally side-step the political implications. I have repeatedly posted about matters in the UK and the US being extremely worrisome.
Speaking of totally normal cis guy behaviour, what do oomfies think about this example?
It’s FUCKING RICH for The Guardian to be printing shit like this, now. OWN your culpability in causing trans people’s bloodshed, you cowardly sacks of shit.
For example, this is just embarrassing: it’s hate the sin / love the sinner rhetoric in a human rights document. It’s totally okay and fine and dandy to hold transphobic or homophobic views, just so long as you don’t display animus. Is this for real? You have to be kidding us, EHRC.
I often feel rather soupy, but strange things might be happening
Stuff I don’t need anymore: 40 video cassettes of Doctor Who recorded in the nineties and noughties, from UKTV broadcasts on cable and ABC free to air. Oldest, The Sensorites; newest: The Next Doctor. Now junk
Still blocked with a 403 Forbidden error on macOS, unless I use the /iOS/ app on desktop… I suppose it works, after a fashion. @bsky.app
Not my favourite passage (I’ve quoted that elsewhere), but this stands by itself. From my #Kimmy fanfic novel, {steffy}: 64ordle.au/steffy/
New on ScribbleHub, one of the three novelette-length alternate endings to #Kimmy: the tangent beginning at chapter One Hundred and Forty. How can Kay recover, with Emily still treating her as though she is merely a thing? www.scribblehub.com/read/2010878...
Hmm, while we’re looking at diagnostic instruments… is this good?
A new chapter on Scribblehub of Kimmehverse (just three more to go!). Content warnings for identity death and suicide, and generally dark things happening when Emily arrives home to find a very disturbing scene. www.scribblehub.com/read/2010878... #Kimmy
So I wrote a fanfic novel {steffy}, based on Alyson Greaves’ sci-fi novel of alienation and transformation, (kimmy). Customised EPUB now available! HTML: 64ordle.au/steffy/ EPUB: 64ordle.au/steffy/steff... AO3: archiveofourown.org/works/70531936 ScribbleHub: www.scribblehub.com/series/18504...
I’ve always been honoured that you follow me. Thanks as always, and have a nice Doctor Who themed picture from me and a friend :)
I see the ABC is repeating the untruth that the event was ‘gatecrashed’. It was well-known ahead of time that they’d turn up, and the organisers did nothing to prevent their attendance.
Ha… I forgot I was looking at yours a few days ago. Since they were obviously nicely generated, where did these come from, may I ask?
So it’s Monday, and time for the most subtle of the points of departure from Alyson Greaves’ novel (kimmy)—the difference stems from what happens after the tenth word, and who arrives on Kay’s doorstep. Also… we finally fire *that* weapon. 🔫 www.scribblehub.com/read/2010878... #kimmy #kimmyverse
