1 (See, that’s a joke. The signup asked for “a bit,” and 1 is a positive bit, and try to be positive, and… I’m terrible with jokes.)
From Mt Sylvania in southwest. Do we blame Canada still, or are we back to radical leftist marxistseses again? I keep losing track… 😒🙄
Poppies growing at the corner of SW Barbur and Taylor’s Ferry near Portland. Striving up, striving up. And there a little one in the shade in the back…
I took this probably 10 years ago on a iPhone 5. I’ve always been happy with it. This is the morning at a foggy Willamette Park, about 3 miles from downtown Portland. 🥰
View up of the Wells Fargo Building and the Fifth Avenue Building in Portland Oregon.
Two and a half years ago my Alys, 16, was taken because of lung cancer. It still seems so recently and hurts so bad. I know what you’re going through. I’m sorry.
Visited the Jackson Bottom Nature Preserve in Hillsboro Oregon to cleanse my head of all the mess going on right now. My hips are not in good shape but hopeful I’ll manage to stretch and exercise my body and get to get out into the hills this year…
This place in scenic Clatsop county? I think I found very… creative short book there.
But we can’t make pennies any more? I like pennies. I suspect he might be fishing things just a little bit.
This is an awesome picture. I’ve lived in Portland for 30 years and I feel proud to be here, bruises and beauties all around.
Found this hiding in 2020 files. Leftover from the Portland Protests, I guess. Maybe I can use it next to the Frog.
Portland Oregon seen from Pittock Mansion. Different angle than the typical view from Washington Park seen from the south side of town where the (ugly) Wells Fargo building is prominent; This is to the (less ugly, “Big Pink”) U.S. Bancorp side to the north. The city continues to be not on fire.
Hell yeah Portland. Every town, every city needs to find an iconic fighter again fascism. Skateboard Kid in LA, or Scooter Guy in Chicago, or here, we have an inflatable frog. Without that personal identity, our flag, our banner for our city, the fight is much harder to unify ourselves.
My parent’s car ZZ, named because of the snazzy black and white colors. She likes to remind everyone he is a sharp dressed man. 🎸🥁🎸
Since we’re remembering black cats, this was Mao Chan, looking demonic but in reality a kind and gentle beast of a cat.
Neh. This is what you want right here. A good straight up “ donut and a coffee” kind of donut and a coffee.
100% on the Portland Mercury’s Pop Quiz this week, because I read the news and am a smart kind of guy.
Sautéed Asian eggplant, sweet peppers, onion, mushroom, cabbage, and the stems of a kind of bok choi.
The loco moco: an important part of local Hawaiian food. A hamburger steak with egg and brown gravy on rice, frequently with onions and mushrooms, and occasionally with some sort of vegetables, here with steamed bok choi. The red stuff is fried chili and oil.
Howard Phillips Lovecraft, born August 20, 1890. Can’t exactly say “Happy birthday”, but… I maintain that he’s not completely dead, nor alive.
Calmed even more. Umbrella Falls in the slopes of Mt Hood, first real hike on the mountain. I missed the smell of Mountain Hemlock; If you’re unfamiliar it a “earthy resinous smell reminiscent of pine and citrus” which hints at a positively erotic smell in the warm breezes coming up the hills. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Poppies growing in the parking space by Barbur World Foods in southwest Portland Oregon.
