Update on X's blue checkmark
Following the European Commission's Decision of 5 December 2025, we must explain the meaning of our blue checkmark and verification policies:

Premium accounts featuring the blue checkmark are not verified under identity or authenticity criteria (accounts verified based on an ID are labelled as "ID verified").

As you know, on 1 April 2023 we began winding down Twitter's legacy verification program:

Previously, to receive the blue checkmark, accounts had to be authentic, active, and deemed notable by Twitter staff (for more information on the legacy policy, please click here).

Now, following the changes implemented to democratize the platform, the blue checkmark has a different meaning and identifies accounts that have an active subscription to X Premium/X Premium+ (including services such as reply prioritization) and are complete, active, secure and non-deceptive, regardless of perceived notability.

X supports freedom of speech and does not endorse or validate the views expressed on accounts featuring checkmarks.

I almost forgot. You have to walk through this kind of weird doorway with horn effect lighting to get to the rest of the house. It definitely sets the tone.

Given the funky decor and colours in the rest of the house I'm shocked by how plain the kitchen is. Grey cabinets. Seems very out of character.

Back to that sunken bath in the hallway though. I mean It is also overlooked from a lot of the house I think so it can't be super relaxing.

Anyway back to the listing. I think maybe they own a paint company? They certainly have used a lot of different paint colours. I'm kind of digging it though.

A room with one half in olive and the other in dusky pink the ceiling is the same colour palette but slightly lighter. There is a bar? with 3 red stools but it does not look far enough from the wall to be a bar. Above the bar isa round mirror. There is also a red smeg fridge and a multi-coloured rug.

The same room from a different angle reveals that ther are in fact multiple colours on the walls including a mint green and a lavender colour.

It's also one of the very few houses I've seen in Amsterdam to use the google maps blur effect. They didn't on Apple Maps though - maybe they think no one uses that? Oh and of course the listing has a picture so... maps.app.goo.gl/AHY9722aX16G...

Yesterday I had a string of scam calls about replacing my out of date o2 sim card. They were increasingly frustrated by my faux interest in their help but my lack of ability to give them my account details to help them confirm the order. I like to waste their time. (I haven't used o2 since 2005)
