smokey #parkrun in Edmonton for the 10th anniversary

An afternoon at fringe festival was overdue..

Edmonton #Marathon day. I slogged out a half this morning after a summer of injury-filled training, and it was pretty spicy out there, but I got it done!

backyard campfire on friday evening beats another rainstorm

#running reflections… it was a little sketchy there for a bit but the rain stopped long enough for our last 6k before the half marathon this weekend

about backyard fifty apples, some sugar and spices and we’re getting close to apple butter yammers

I wrote a plugin to automatically schedule and post here via my #wordpress blogs because I am a bit stubborn about centralizing and controlling my own content. Thanks for the dozens of you who have been clicking through and reading!

the backyard apples are in season and it’s time to get to work

Is there a #parkrun milestone for indoctrinating your first new runner? Or for making your kid run 5k?

Hey I remember that #running photo….!!
Get out on the trails today!

Suns out, guns (or bare feet) out.
I’ve conquered the audiobooks so now for some dead tree literature in the grass.

I used #vr #flightsimulator to fly over where we were doing hill training last night. It’s the path through the trees near the end of the video.

methinks strava needs a simpler way to change the default shoes in the app… i forgot how to update this in about 2020 and those shoes have been long gone for years but…

winter… take, um, six maybe at this point. #running

Ok everyone in #yeg fess up… what did ya’ll do to anger the #snow gods this year.
I have my own list but collectively we’ve earned some bad mojo on the weather rollercoaster for 2026 it seems.

Tried out the #psvr2 update for #flightsimulator on playstation this morning. I can only take wearing the headset for about 30 minute stints, but even that was long enough for me to experience crashing my plane twice already. Strange way to start the day.

I’m slowly getting better at spotting #spam … there are subtle clues if you look closely. Can you see the red flags in this email?

Morning wandering leads to the glamour of suburban scenery.

which comes first in the spring? running season or construction season

Ever since travelling to Japan last year I’m on a personal mission to drink all the matcha in Canada. So far, no contest. Japan wins.

I went for a walk in the #yeg suburban wilds this morning on some single track I’d never travelled before. I swear there must have been half of an entire disassembled car spread out along the path like trail markers. I took a few pictures…

The hills are alive with the sound of melting…
#running

I may have spent some bucks on a new toy this week. I’ve been feeling a little restricted by the small keybed on my #synth etc and so I kinda sorta maybe sprung for some extra keyboard real estate. Nothing fancy, but probably don’t come looking for me for a few days.
