Lola is the new girl in town and having a terrible time adjusting. She’s an outsider in every way. The only brown kid in an all white school, transplanted mid-school year, clear across the country to care for her elderly Abuela.
Jimmy was diagnosed with leukemia at the end of last school year. The strain of his cancer lead to the separation of his parents and then his two best friends became his worst bullies. Now it just Jimmy and his mom who struggles to be strong for him and make what might be his last Halloween perfect
I can finally introduce you to Jimmy Doocy and Lola Torres from 12 Foot Skeleton. They are both 12 years old, living in Hampshire Bay were Halloween is just a fading memory.

So here’s the undiagnosed ADHD things I did today. Read several chapters of Blood Meridian, finished interior art for Everything Loves a Jewel Thief (series complete!), and tore down a metal shed.
