Do not expect me to respect any academic who was silent in the first few months of the genocide and suddenly started to write academically about Gaza. They are just opportunistic, and bigots.

For many, it is vacation. For me, half vacation :) From last week, Lisbon’s discussion of my book “fearful in Gaza” with poet Nur Turkmani, at Good Company Bookstore in collaboration with Maqam.
His name is Sami,he has just lost his family yesterday. He was sleeping beside his little sister, Habiba, 6, and parents when an Israeli rocket hit their house and instantly killed all of them Wednesday early morning in Deir Elbalah, central Gaza strip. Sami is the sole survivor.(via Sami AbuSaleh)

Wall of shame. What a true and real academic with morale compass accepts a prize from a state committing genocide? Shame on all of them. Shame on them
