I got a new matcha whisk/chasen for my birthday, so I brought my old one out and used it to make myself a hot cocoa. Foamed the milk to make it extra fancy. The cocoa powder actually mixes a lot better with the chasen than with a spoon.

Playing Civ 6 again just for fun. It's been a while. Spawned near Delicate Arch, and my Capital is on an Igneous Intrusion Region (from my Urban Identities mod), so a promising start.

Tea Haul just arrived! Got a pu’er, a yueguangbai, a mi lan dancong (never seen an oolong as a tea brick before ngl), and a matcha made with Chinese longjing. Very excited to try them out. But I gotta go through some existing stock first 😅

Got a new bowl specifically for matcha. Also my husband got an espresso machine so I've been able to use it to foam milk for matcha lattes.

So I’m moving from Florida to Maryland, and we have a car and a lot of stuff we need to take. Conveniently, there just happens to be train that you can load your car in and ride all the up to Virginia. My and my husband got a little roomette and it’s been very cozy.

I dunno why, but Thai soups and curries are almost always better the day after. I’m having some leftover Tom Kha that my husband made for the second day in a row and am very excited.
