The 2026 fair is over. I went to pick up all my entries. Surprised that my mouse house was nominated for Best of Show. My afghan won a first. My aquarium only placed 2nd. They said it was too crowded. Oh well. I had a bunch of entries in Arts and Crafts. #crochet
Working on my next blanket. #crochet Grandma's Flower Garden. My first flower. It will take me 6 months to a year to complete. The pieces are not sewn together yet. I need to block the individual pieces before I assemble them. Then a second blocking of the flower before sewing it in the blanket.
I am so glad they did this. Humans are STUPID. Here is the heat index in a car by the minutes. Windows down don't help.

#crochet I make crochet throws that look like vintage quilts my grandma made in the 1940s-60s. I wanted to share one I just finished. There are 288- 3x3 squares assembled into 72 6”x6” blocks and 2500 It also has tails woven in.There is no pattern for this throw as I designed it myself.
Sue I made a very large bouquet for my fair entry 2 years ago. Took me a couple months. I also crocheted a bridal bouquet and corsage.
People have been wondering and we are right back at the Alzheimer’s infusions. Leqembi (lecanemab-irmb) can cause skin rashes, including on the neck, as part of an allergic or infusion-related reaction. These reactions can occur during or shortly after the intravenous treatment.
Then I bundle them all together. I can flip through them to match a color. When I’m all done any leftover yarn will be bagged with these bands off the skeins. No more guessing what they are, the hook size, washing instructions etc. I have tubs of yarn that I have no idea what the heck it is.

#crochet Finally have all the windmill squares done and layed iut and mapped. Now to finish the off white squares 🙄
#crochet I want to show fellow crocheters how important it is to block your granny squares. The top row have just come off the blocking board. The bottom row will be blocked soon.
#crochet The board is a blocking board. It's expensive initially but I could not do any of my granny square afghans without it. You block your shapes before assembling them. This way all the corners are square. I did assemble the ones that are already pinwheels but realized they needed blocking.
#crochet Starting to block the color pinwheel squares for my next blanket. Another weaving tales from hell project. The block of 4 granny squares that make up the pinwheel have 22 tails to weave in. 🤬I figure the blanket will have over 2000 tails woven in after it is done.
Challenge accepted 🙄 working on granny squares that will need two ends woven on each one.
