Leading with joy. Fighting for YOU. MA Attorney General, wife and mama to Alexander & Aiden. Beyonce fan. For official updates follow @massago.bsky.social
Utility costs are already too high - and it's straining families across Massachusetts. That's why as your AG, I've used my office to prevent millions in additional hikes to your bill that would only go toward utility company's bottom line. In this economy, every dollar we can save counts.
Our young people are not blind to the affordability crisis - from education to housing to health care, it's top of mind for them. My first job working the concession stands at Fenway Park paid me a decent wage during an unstable time in my life. Now, I'm using my role as AG to pay that forward.
Great to kickoff a canvass this morning in Sandwich 🔥 We're 100 days out from Election Day, and that means we have 100 days talk to our neighbors, and ensure every voter knows what's at stake and who's fighting for them up and down the ballot here in Massachusetts.
It's official: Dem AGs are suing to block Paramount and Warner Bros.' merger. Not only would this merger hurt competition, it would allow Trump's buddies, the Ellisons, to control what you watch and how much you pay for it from everything from Animal Planet to CBS News to HBO. We're fighting back.
There is no more powerful voice in the fight against gun violence than @gabbygiffords.bsky.social. I'm deeply honored by her endorsement and the support of @giffords.org In Massachusetts, we've led the country on gun safety. I will keep fighting to protect and expand those laws as Attorney General.
We cannot take the rule of law for granted — not while Trump, Republicans, and even Supreme Court Justices attempt to narrow who belongs in our country, who gets to participate in our democracy, and who gets to make these decisions.
NEW: Donald Trump is trying to rip away Medicaid coverage for those with serious medical conditions and disabilities. It’s shameful. Today, I co-led a lawsuit from 26 states to stop the Trump Admin and protect healthcare for the most vulnerable.
Remember Trump’s executive orders trying to restrict people’s right to vote and rewrite the rules of our elections? We beat him in court this week - not once, but twice - over his attempts to restrict our voting rights. In Massachusetts, we stand up for democracy.
3. We're in the fight for the long haul, but none of us can do this work on our own. We must continue to lean on one another, show up in community, and remind those threatening our democracy: Massachusetts doesn’t back down. We don’t give up. We show up – and we win.
2. Joy is an act of resistance. Whether it's chanting with @seiu.org, cheering on @edmarkey.bsky.social, or hearing directly from voters about how seeing my office taking on Donald Trump in court continues to give them hope. We can't let them overwhelm us and steal our joy.
Some reflections on this year's @massdems.bsky.social convention: 1. Democrats are fired up - and they're demanding urgency and and intention from their elected representatives. We must meet this moment, not cautiously, not halfway – but fully and fearlessly.
Thank you, @massdems.bsky.social. I’ve been honored to serve as your Attorney General, and I’m proud to accept your endorsement for re-election. Here WE go.
Today, on Memorial Day, we honor the brave service members who gave their lives for our country. We will never forget or be able to repay their sacrifice — but we’ll continue to honor them by fighting for the families they’ve left behind and supporting our veteran communities every day.
As your AG, I've fought back against Trump's attacks on reproductive freedom, established a Reproductive Justice Unit, and rolled out the Abortion Legal Hotline. I've been proud to stand on the frontlines of ensuring MA remains a beacon, and I couldn't ask for a better partner than @pplmvotes.org.
The federal government has abandoned its promise to help working families. But my office is using every tool we have to lower costs — going after price gouging, holding corporate landlords accountable, and fighting for Massachusetts residents every day.
A big step forward today in our fight to hold Big Tech accountable: Meta must face our lawsuit over deliberately designing Instagram to addict kids while downplaying risks their own research showed. Our kids deserve better than companies that profit from their pain.
Massachusetts, thank YOU for showing up today and making your voices heard. I've already filed 53 lawsuits against the Trump Administration. If they want to keep trying to trample on our rights, bring it on.
Donald Trump is AGAIN trying to circumvent the constitution, this time by holding billions in food assistance funding for children, seniors, the disabled and rural communities hostage in an attempt to force states to submit to his attacks on DEIA and immigrants. I’m fighting back.
Trump promised to bring down costs for families. Instead, he's starting a war in Iran & imposing unlawful tariffs that are raising prices as the gas pump and in the grocery store. Americans deserve better.
Trump is yet again trying to raise prices on MA families through unlawful tariffs. The impact of this chaos and confusion can be seen in yesterday's poor jobs report. Enough is enough. We're taking him to court - again.
I'm part of the 72% of voters who supported Question One. Don't believe the misinformation - there's still a path forward here for the audit. Let's give the public the clarity they deserve.
Generations of Black freedom fighters, leaders, and activists paved the way for me vote or own a house - let alone serve as your Attorney General. When I think of what they sacrificed, how can we not lead with courage and conviction in this moment in history?
Trump tried to end birthright citizenship on day one. We sued immediately and got it blocked. Now we're at the Supreme Court defending every child born on U.S. soil. That's been the law for over 150 years. Trump can't rewrite the Constitution.
I’m not just your Attorney General - I’m also the mother of two beautiful boys, Aiden and Alexander. I want to know that I’m leaving not just them, but ALL of our kids behind a safe and healthy democracy, affordable economy, and livable planet so they can do more than just survive, but thrive.
Seeing lots of new faces - hi there! Let me catch you up to speed.
"Predatory prediction markets who pretend not to be sports betting companies all while making their money off of gambling debts are good, actually." - the crypto guy somehow in charge of regulating this
Washington, D.C. shouldn’t get to pull the rug out from under Massachusetts families. This project means lower energy costs, good-paying jobs, and long-term stability for our grid. I’m fighting to keep New England Wind 1 moving forward.
Imagine looking at a little boy in a bunny hat and deciding he’s the priority of federal immigration enforcement. Our leaders have abandoned both humanity and the Constitution, and a five-year old child is paying the price.
Tens of thousands of Haitian TPS holders call Massachusetts home. They can rest easy knowing their status will not be cruelly stripped away while this case continues through the courts. We'll keep fighting for them.
