I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. I’m angry at the thought that Lindsey Graham knew what he was going was wrong, yet did it anyway. He will forever be the man sitting in a back row at McCain’s funeral, seemingly humbled in shame. This is how to remember the man:
Almost 24 hrs now—sitting in my car with the a.c. on charging devices. The power company says they’re “still evaluating.” I’ve got blue ice and ice cubes in the fridge trying to save what’s possible—thanks for the advice. This is not sustainable, and it’s only going to get worse. #GreenEnergy 🫠😿

Same thing happened at the 1st NYC Women’s March. A woman in our group whose husband was a cop in a security copter asked him why we weren’t moving after waiting hours. He said the crowd was massive but they’d been ordered not to take photos. The only pics published show 42nd St, not ALL of 2nd Ave.
Lionel Richie just mentioned winning an Oscar for a song from the film “White Nights.” Why do some films seemingly just disappear? I’ve searched it out a few times, but I’d wager most people haven’t seen it because I’ve never found it streaming anywhere. Great story and unforgettable dancing.
What possible excuse could there be for not being able to reach the 8th member of the Gang of 8? Was it someone who would’ve raised the alarm—because if you’re in that elite group, and you don’t have reliable contact info, what are you even doing? Especially with these people in the WH.
I liked Sen Klobuchar right up to the point where she enthusiastically organized Trump’s 2nd inauguration. I get that she was chair of the committee—but she didn’t telegraph any disapproval the way Michelle Obama did (both times). Instead, she appeared positively giddy.
It might be a good time to ask Democrats to respond with this Rockwell image:
Ooh—I want one of those! You may already know this, but I didn’t: in Europe, they have little metal shields people buy when hiking famous summits—they then screw them onto wooden walking sticks. I imagine they’ve got other types for aluminum poles. Thought it was an interesting souvenir.

I’d never seen that photo of Ivana & Trump—so did an image search because the decor appears to be “Oval Office Fall 2025”—and whaddya know! It’s from a visit to the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, 1987. I guess that makes the MAGA WH makeover Russian-inspired?
Thought for sure you’d be at the first one! Did you see any of the shows on the first leg of the tour? I saw a poster with the dates, and it shook me a bit because of the image—I don’t want to not go. Tried to buy face value but only got this close ⬇️ before they sold out. Now it’s whatever reseller.
I keep thinking of those photos when Republicans have achieved some coveted goal—big guffaws directed at each other as they admire the work they’ve done for their donors. DEMs instead usually celebrate with the people they’ve helped. Big difference.
Naive question I know, but what’s to stop a company as wealthy as Apple from simply reincorporating in Canada? Why should they be the biggest taxpayer in a country that doesn’t respect human rights, and whose trade policies can change on a whim? If California doesn’t secede, that is.
This was them the last time they thought they’d successfully repealed Obamacare: they threw a keg party at the WH. Just joyous over killing people. All devoted ‘Christians’ too.
