2 - Nine Sols An absolute masterpiece of a game. Gameplay was very satisfying, throwing challenges at me that were engaging but not frustrating. The story and lore are delivered so effectively and the ending brought me to tears. Definitely going to try more metroidvanias

1 - Octopath Traveler 0 MARVELOUS!! This is a game that exceeded all of my expectations. The eight traveler gameplay was a lot of fun and the story content was (mostly) really stellar despite coming from a gacha game. I found the town-building a lot more fun than I expected too.
