Check out the look on Del Toro's face when he realizes Pogačar let him take the Stage 2 win. I want to hate Pogačar. I prefer an underdog, and he's charismatic and good looking and the dominant cyclist of our time. But he's no villain. Tadej Pogačar is a class act.

This book fell victim to my 10% rule. 10% of the way in, I felt like I was reading some overenthusiastic dungeon master's worldbuilding project--not a novel. I had no sense of the stakes of the story. I didn't care about the characters. I could think of no reason to continue. 💙📚

"Song Sung Blue" is about as cool as Neil Diamond: that is to say, not cool at all. Rather, it's earnest and heartfelt. My wife & I chose this as a compromise. We laughed. We cried. This is a surprisingly good movie.
