It’s been wonderful to see all the Manchester University (MMU) graduation ceremonies taking place at The Midland Hotel this week… I love their smiles when I say Congratulations as I walk past them! #ManchesterVibe
Good to get properly back in the gym 18 months after major surgery (tried couple times before at 6 month intervals & couldn’t do it). Did an old weight training set, happy to see I only missed 4 muscle areas tonight = 2 machines, will cover them tomorrow, so chuffed! #HappyDays
Phew, that was a scorcher!🥵, car said 34 degrees this afternoon whilst driving. Morning walk around Rudyard, 2 ice lollies each later, a milk shake from ‘Shakes on the Rocks’ #WickenstoneFarm, then food at Capello Lounge, lovely day & lots of laughs! Hope you’ve all had a wonderful day too?
The funeral I attended yesterday was lovely. I briefly went back home to Cheddleton, it was a beautiful day & had wonderful conversations with friends I hadn’t seen in many years. What utterly shocked me is this Church is going to permanently close soon, it’s a treasure to the community & shouldn’t!
Good morning, tried a different coffee this morning. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from working with Finance peeps & training Army Cadets after being made homeless years ago, get up, make your bed & grind your own fresh coffee wherever you are, in the words of Ozzy: youtube.com/watch?v=P9YP...
Lovely sunny afternoon with parents ambling around www.highpeakbookstore.co.uk. Many chairs dotted around invite you to read a while, tempting purchase. I honestly wasn’t going to leave, until I saw a book I’ve been meaning to buy for years, I love an outsider & Angela Merkel always inspired me
Morning friends, well last nights film (Cats(2019)) was triggering for me, trauma wise who knew! Whilst it’s good to revisit the past & remember, it’s not good to stay in the energy. Strength training this morning, & training at work. Each photo has a description in. Whatever you’re up to, enjoy! 🛶
Good to catch a sunset in my favourite place when the crowds have all gone home. Lots of cyclists around, I didn’t get the memo so it was a quick walk for me. Can vaguely see Manchester through the haze on the 2nd pic. 22 Degrees & no jacket required at LymePark 🌞😎@nationaltrust.org.uk
Lovely walk around Rudyard Lake with my eldest daughter for her birthday, Jack the rescue dog and my parents. Weather’s been a bonus, coffee & cake at Rudyard Hotel & ended with ice-cream, happy days & memories!

Doing a spring clean at the weekend and this little card turned up, it instantly made me smile and reminded me how far I’d come with everyone who supported me! Made me think who may need my support & how. Have a lovely day folks!
Bristol you were brilliant! what a fun 24 hr adventure with work, see you next month (with outside pics & better weather🤞) Chatsworth today for a birthday amble with parents, followed by meal with daughters & fun with my phone, girls insisted on changing my screen saver to a new photo of them! 🥰
This time last year I could barely walk for 5mins after surgery… here’s 365 days of consistency, showing up, pure determination & many tears when I struggled. 2026 challenge,⬆️energy, good vibes, fun & raising money 4 #charity with friends & family🤞wish us luck! 🍀 #HappyNewYear
Gained a new fur friend this Christmas, here’s Selina one of my brothers 2 cats. Enjoyed a couple of days in Sheff over Christmas, lovely weather!
Wonderful time with a fantastic group of likeminded colleagues (both working & retired) from many departments all around the UK… The Christmas Party & Secret Santa I never knew I needed! It was really lovely to be asked if they’d see me next year… absolutely, roll on 2026 & new adventures!
Eventful active weekend at Lea Green near Matlock, with a stop at the pub looking a bit wet after a 5 mile walk which felt further with all the mud… plus tennis after dinner.
Few pics from in town (Manchester, UK) earlier this week… descriptions added in each photo, enjoy! Wishing you all a wonderful festive season!🎄✨
Took A/L & did a surprise meet up in Baslow for lunch with mum on her birthday then a stroll in Chatsworth House grounds, polished off with tea & Birthday cake This time last yr we were a smidge away from losing her & she was seriously ill in Royal Stoke, this year I’ve prioritised my time 4 family🫶
The board game lunchtime club I’ve set up at work with a colleague, is slowly growing. Had such a good fun this week, can’t wait to scour the charity shops for more today & give to a good cause at the same time. Have a wonderful day folks!
When free drinks are being given out at the train station, don’t mind if I do… cheers everyone! 😎
Hope you’ve had a cracking day? Just returned from a lovely walk with my eldest daughter & rescue dog Jack… resting here under a table as we were getting food, wondering where his food was!
It’s a tad warm in’t it? think this says how hot it’s been when working today! (for those unaware this oil should be solid) 🥵
Sunday Morning Blood Donation - 6mins to give blood is a new record for me! 😎 Felt so good to be able to give back again after 12 months of several NHS appts. There’s a sponsored walk up Snowden in Sept for a nurse just diagnosed with MND if anyone would like to sponsor, see QR code on pic 3 TY🩸🅾️
