“Over the course of 5 solo albums, Alison Cotton has established herself as one of the most distinctive voices in experimental British folk music…….A record that feels strangely ancient yet timeless” Thank you to Melanie Xulu for the great review in the new Idler Magazine!

Thanks everyone who came to Music From Engelchen on Sat at Sunderland Museum. Thanks to @alengasmith.bsky.social for her excellent talk on Ida & Louise Cook. Two special people were in attendance, friends I made in 2023. The words to my song Engelchen Now were taken from conversations with them.
Tomorrow at 1pm, I’m taking part in an event about the lives of Ida & Louise Cook at Sunderland Museum. Taking place in the Pottery Gallery, so we’ll be surrounded by beautiful Sunderland lustreware & Sunderland glass. It’s FREE but just get a ticket: www.sunderlandculture.org.uk/whats-on/mus...
