Important to note that not only did Reform fail in three by-elections but on the same night they lost local elections in Essex (their heartland of South East Essex) where sitting councillors were defeated. This may be the watershed moment in more ways than one.

Reform UK are struggling with their vetting of candidates. One of the more interesting mis steps is a man who was championed by his local branch as 'innocent 'till proved guilty'. Unfortunately he pleaded guilty at the last moment to a charge of defrauding a charity of £28,000. Who knew?
