I never got into them, but when I was in college, a ton of folks I knew thought they ruled. They hired Burlesque of North America to do some of their posters, so I'll give them that. In fact, I have one!

A screenprinted concert poster by Aaron Horkey and Burlesque of North America for The Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, and The Belle Orchestre. The dates take place in September and October of 2005, in Winnipeg and Saskatoon respectively.

It's on pink paper, and the date/venue info is on the bottom. In front of a cloud on the poster is a silo-like building, and out of the building is an ornamental plume with the bands names on it in a very decorative fashion.

I just went through my backup drive and found the photo reference I used!

A white Grumann Olson truck. The bottom trim of the truck is dark green, and the truck is in a lot beside a blue car. The file is labeled "LOLA_Asasa_Truck_pic2.jpg" and taken July 30, 2013. I think I got it from an ebay listing when searching for reference.

I had a kidney stone attack yesterday. Woohooo!!! Shoutout to the folks at HSC who took care of me for the 10 or so hours that I was there. The last time I had an attack (nearly six years ago), I drew this several weeks afterward.
