Too much for some people, not nearly enough for others. I guarantee I will fail your purity test. If I don’t make you happy, I guess today’s not your day for that. Try again tomorrow. I don’t debate people in 300-character chunks.
I will follow people with all sorts of views. Below is why I generally unfollow people, including leftists whose views I otherwise sympathize with.
This is such a well-written analysis of Mark Carney’s performance as PM to date. www.theglobeandmail.com/gift/ff673e2... This section, near the end, grabbed my attention:
From an article in the Globe and Mail on the Nuuk protest in Greenland (sorry, out of gift articles; can’t share this one). I hasten to add: the US has extensive experience in trading in human beings. This government would have little to no problem with it.
@samirkayande.bsky.social You and the opposition must stop Danielle Smith’s plan to hold an independence referendum this year. At least, it must be indefinitely postponed. Here’s why. I’ve highlighted the pertinent paragraph. www.theglobeandmail.com/gift/ff673e2...
These paragraphs in particular. It reinforces why a broad centrism is the only viable option for societal peace and longevity, however imperfect it is.
Under the Trump regime, you can now be persecuted for your beliefs. Within the year, I will bet that anyone who opposes the regime can be jailed or expelled from the country. Before 2028, Democrat leaders will be rounded up and some of them will be executed. www.theglobeandmail.com/gift/ff673e2...
This is the piece that I think best applies. Read it for yourself, and by all means, please send in your complaint.
Here is the part of the document you reference. Trump is disgusting and dangerous, but, unless I missed it, there is no reference to eliminating people in this document. @caulfieldtim.bsky.social
