Last baldo day! This is My Backyard is The Overstory, by Richard Powers. A group of people throughout their lives, and their relationships with trees. I really liked this one! Trees are amazing. I loved doing this reading bingo! So much fun. I love the horse movie Jim community 💜✨📚🥰
Back to my regularly scheduled non-smut: Miss Stone is 2 books! Strange Houses & Strange Buildings, by Uketsu. Both set in Japan, The Author finds weird patterns in houses that lead to some pretty strange things!! Creepy and sometimes sad, with a very unsettling vibe. I liked them both.
Buckle up fuckos! Pickle Joe is POUNDED BY PRODUCE by G. M. Fairy. If you’ve ever wanted to fuck a cucumber, a tomato, a priest, or two priests at once this book is for you! Very self aware and pretty hilarious, but I also had to pause for 24hrs bc I’m not this into smut and it was… a lot 😆 🥒🍅
Bingo bango! Ratsecs is An Arcane Study of Stars, by Sydney J Shields. It was fine. It wasn’t bad, also wasn’t great imo. Romantasy set in a school for witches, but in their 20s, not HP ages. Some surprise spice (could’ve been more), lots of puzzles, too many misunderstandings. It was fine. 🤷🏻♀️
Audiobooks make it easy for me to go through them quickly! Gay??? is Don’t Let The Forest In, by CG Drews. I liked it! Creepy forest monsters attacking boarding school teens. Tons of gay yearning. TW: mental health, death, anxiety, ED. The creepy stuff was good. It was also pretty sad. Recommend!
Double bingo book update! I finished Of Monsters and Mainframes a couple days ago and loved it! An A1 space ship has bad luck with monsters taking over her missions. She saves a couple kids and one comes back as an adult. Audiobook was great! The second book is Gild and I thought about (cont’d)
So Voidverse is not a road trip but a void trip and Chrysler Pacifica seemed like the best spot. People travel through the void btwn lots of planets and drama ensues. It was good and up my alley, plot-wise, but just couldn’t keep my attention. I kept falling asleep or getting distracted 😅
Second sesh on my fire lilies and they’re done!! I love them! I wish the artist wasn’t 45-an hour away bc I would get so much from her 😍
If anyone needs stickers (or other fun, handmade stuff!) I highly recommend @rebsrainbowhaus.bsky.social ! I love that she took the time to personalize the card! I bought a sparkly devour feculence keychain a while back and it’s held up great!
Book #7 is Alien Isolation: To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini. It was verrrrrrrry long but I enjoyed it. Scientist gets an alien bio suit type thing in her and she has to figure out how to coexist with it. Lots of adventure and action. Could’ve been shorter.
The cuteness aggression is going hard. I just want to squeeze him uuuuggghhhhhh hessofluffyiwanttodie
Book #6 is Wolf Worm by T. Kingfisher. Not my favorite. I typically have a strong stomach for gore and horror, but this was pretty gross. The narrator made some interesting voice choices too… Definitely a struggle to get through. Not for me. Oh well 🤷🏻♀️
Book #5 is The Ghost Woods. A spooky suspense set in Scotland. Sometimes sad, a bit of body horror, a little queer and has a happy ending. I liked it!
More kittens at the office!! The way I want that little void omg 😭😍
Happy summer reading! I’m currently in the middle of listening to The Wolf King but added it to the bald-o card already! My tattoo artist recommended it and I’m just waiting for the spicy wolf banging to start…. 📚 🐺 🌶️
This is a cat checkpoint! Relinquish your most recent cat picture on your phone!
I’m in the waiting room while my mom is getting cataract surgery and I’ve been whispering “cataracts” to myself all weekend leading up to this.
It’s my birthdaaaaaaayyyyyy!!!! The year of the answer to everything so I think it’ll be good ✨♉️🎉
Walked barefoot around Stonehenge to get that energy straight into me. Saw the house that was James and Lily Potter’s house. Met another good boy.
Went on a boat tour on the Thames and saw that big-ass clock again. Then went on a haunted pub tour. Londinium was mentioned multiple times. After met a cat named The General and I lost my mind
