Final photos of the grizzly bear cubs... The baby bears were born this past winter but already have some pretty impressive claws! As the cubs grow, they will become more active in foraging with their mother for plant matter, arthropods, and small mammals. #mammals #wildlife #nature #photography

It was interesting to see the visual differences in coloration of the two grizzly bear cubs that I saw in Glacier National Park. One had a noticeably lighter face compared to its sibling. These two babies will remain with their mom for 2 or 3 years. #bears #mammals #wildlife #nature #photography

While in Glacier National Park, I was lucky to encounter a mother grizzly bear foraging for food, while her two cubs were wandering around and being cute. Grizzly bears generally have 1 to 4 cubs per litter, with 2 being a pretty typical average. #bears #mammals #wildlife #nature #photography

During my recent #Hawaii #birding trip, I hiked 2 miles up a mountain at ~9,700 ft in elevation to see a Palila --- a critically endangered endemic honeycreeper species found only on the high-elevation slopes of Mauna Kea on the Big Island. Definitely worth all the effort! 🪶 #BirdsSeenIn2026
