Bikes are transportation and recreation. Working in renewable energy. We have to imagine a better world before we can build it. she/her allweeksend.neocities.org
Occurrence of pedestrians on the bike path is way more frequent and worse (imo) here because where are they supposed to be?
So far I’ve seen 100% of pedestrians walking on the bike path (~15 people?), one bike riding north along the sidewalk. 3 bikes going correctly south on the bike path, and one person on a bike riding south on the road looking uncertainly at the options available. @chi.streetsblog.org
from @heatmap.news Thank goodness I barely drive and am almost never compelled to. Can't imagine this is good for our transit budget though.
I can’t make it tonight, but I did mock up this suggestion. Feel free to steal it, haha.
I don’t think we’ll be able to keep the window AC on eco mode in the bedroom overnight … (Monte came to bed late and closed the door for light reasons)
Omfg the city’s plan for bikes tough the new square on market days is “don’t”
Sure, but that doesn’t mean that their statements are categorically untrue. Here’s an alternate source. Still waiting on any source that says that speed doesn’t make crashes more likely. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
I can’t disagree that we should have far more rigorous driver training and licensing requirements. Lots of sources will tell you that speed makes crashes more likely (I think it’s also pretty intuitive that higher speed = less chance to react). Here’s an example. www.iihs.org/research-are...
After you’re done, swing by Calumet Park for some amateur racing. It’ll be fun! Racing starts at 11am and wraps up about 3:15 pm each day @halfacrecycling.bsky.social
I too this photo in Ogilvie. The cloud looked wild (might have to zoom in to really see).
New signage installed recently on Milwaukee north of Augusta! The right lane is for turns to Augusta and toward the highway on ramp!
It’s so cool and helpful to have a 25°+ temperature swing between morning and evening commutes.
Chase, what’s the goal here writing your scam warning email as if it’s phishing? Do you get a lesson on not clicking links in emails if you click through?
We can’t adopt Rosie because we don’t have a sunny spot inside the house and she can’t be trusted outside by herself.
