This year for the auction, I designed and put together ten miniature kits just for RTV! Comes with all the materials and detailed instructions to built your own tiny world in a tin. The only way to get one of these will be through the auction!

This was me yesterday making space in my chaos so I could take pics of stuff with decent lighting, lol.

A cluttered and chaotic craft room space with just enough stuff cleared away from the table to set up for taking pics of items. A gray cutting mat is propped up to form a back board and a sheet of light brown paper covers the table’s surface. Several small gooseneck LED lamps provide lighting.

Baking stuff today because it got cold again and I wanted an excuse to run the oven. Breakfast casserole to use up leftovers, and the much more photogenic Parmesan besan (chickpea flour) flat bread.

Community is a big part of what keeps me going. I work with a bunch of younger queer and trans folks, love what I do, and it gives me a place to focus my energy and people I can help and connect with. I also try to make sure I take time to work on my miniature builds. Hobbies are important.

Y’know, if people could STOP driving their cars into businesses, that would be great. Especially businesses that just had the same thing happen less than six months ago. 🫠 Everyone at American Science and Surplus in Geneva is okay. Just very, very tired, lolsob.

Thanks! I’ve been slowly doing a remodel of a dollhouse a coworker found at Goodwill and gave me. It’s part of the attic bathroom I’m just about finished with.

Found a use for the itty bitty nail stickers that came with some tiny decorations I ordered awhile back. Now my tiny bottles are shiny! #miniatures

Yup! People like the human touch, and the puns and the silly. You can’t effectively capture or portray this kind of cheerful chaos with slick generated generic ad copy.

The AI bros effectively killed my desire to draw, but handmade miniatures are still a creative outlet I can do. While I sometimes sell what I make, I don’t deliberately make it for marketing. I make it because it makes me happy.

Visited a local zoo over the weekend. If you can tolerate cold, it’s worth going in winter. Way less people and a lot of the animals were much more active! Others were sleepy, lol.

Great Wave magnet, sharpie on ceramic, done at/for work with a DIY fridge magnet kit in a bit of downtime. Roughly 1.5” on a side. (People kept liking our examples to demo the kit so we started selling them, lol)

It’s amazing what practice can do for your skills! I’ve had a harder time sitting down to draw recently, but I like to keep this progression as an example that anyone can learn to do it if they put in the work! Where I started vs what I can manage on a good day now.
