Like, men are so fucking fragile right from the word go. And if "pretty standard adventure-seeking male behaviour" isn't an instant red flag, I don't know what is.

Two early messages in a dating app, where the first one showcases a fragile male ego and the second demonstrates a strong independent woman who scares him.

First message: "So if horses, work and sleep are taking all the available slots, does that mean you don't actually have time to date? I tend not to compete with four-legged animals (wink). As for me, snowboarding, scuba diving, travelling and cooking. Pretty standard adventure-seeking male behaviour really. So tell me, what does your ideal Sunday look like when you're not working or covered in horse hair?"

Second message: "'I tend not to compete with four-legged animals'?! Ah, well they will always come first, as they can't look after themselves, so I guess I may be looking for someone with a bit more independence, or at least someone who's not jealous/resentful of my horses (laughing). Oh, and my ideal Sunday is absolutely being covered in horse hair!"
