Every once in a while I find myself at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor by Logan Airport. A perfect hotel with its views as an #avgeek. The other side of the hotel also has stellar views of the city. Can’t beat this place.
I first noticed this yesterday when searching BOS-TYO with AAdvantage. These price increases involve bookings with a JAL segment + AA or AS segment. JAL only awards still seem to abide by the regular award chart. #Avgeek
For pedestrians, blocked streets are 41st, 42nd, and 43rd between 1st and 3rd. At least what I can tell from walking around.
For the second year in a row, a boatload of people have shown up by the East River here in Murray Hill, thinking this is where the 4th of July fireworks will be. But nope, the fireworks are down by Brooklyn. #nyc #fireworks
My ride back to NYC this morning was Nextgen Acela train 2151. Sat in business class again; I’ve yet to try first class on these trains.

New at Boston Logan Terminal B: Alaska Airlines gates are now over at B4 and B6. Alaska gates previously have been far away on the other side of the terminal, meaning those with Admirals Club access were in for a long stroll. That is no longer the case with this move. #Avgeek
Heatwave next week here, and I have an Amtrak trip scheduled on Thursday from Boston to New York. What are the odds that it’ll be on time? 😃

The Admirals Club experience: staring at these for at least 10 seconds to figure out which one is hand soap
I’m genuinely happy about the 2 additional hot items at Admirals Clubs. It might not seem like a lot, but it’ll definitely be a noticeable addition (at least for me) given the lack of variety in catering has been the biggest shortcoming with Admirals Clubs.
These escalators at this Marriott hotel have been out for I swear the past 6 months or so and have looked like this the whole time. Anyone know why escalators take so long to work on?
