Welsh tech industry worker living in East London. Fascinated by science, nature, and geopolitics, and loving the sanity of BlueSky having previously been an avid fan of Twitter.
I love this, but it isnt just the network that is important -It is the space within it. Without safe 'feeder' roads and readily accessible secure storage, it is hard to take advantage of such networks. The greatest risk to my life comes from the perhaps 2% of drivers who drive recklessly and fast.
And Galloway has kept busy. Here he is working with Kremlin propagandist and self-described 'journalist', Rick Sanchez. I did not know he was now living in Russia.
I visited Cromer in Spring 2019. What a place for good walks, good food, and fresh air. A wonderful break from London.
26.4C here, but I'm expecting it to climb to 28C by tomorrow. This is in a small London flat with no garden. My elderly neighbour's flat faces South, and it is likely to get much warmer there - He is ok for the moment.
@theguardian.com I guess this is a known issue, but pages fail to render on your app when they load. This article for instance www.theguardian.com/world/2026/m... Only when you scroll down do you see the content, but scrolling up hides the content again. I'm on a modern Android device.
I love the translation. On another side note, the term 'absolute unit' was coined in 2017 in a questionable tweet which went viral. The subject was David Morgan-Hewitt, chairman of the Goring Hotel in London.
Donald Trump recently announced "A whole civilisation will die tonight". His ICE officers continue to terrorise Americans and visitors alike. Will FIFA now revoke Donald Trump's 2025 FIFA Peace Prize and award it to a more deserving individual? (Photo Jim Watson/AFP/Getty Images)
There are significant issues in Tower Hamlets, with some drivers maneuvering and parking cars on pavements directly outside school entrances, competing for space with parents and children. Surrounding streets have the same problems. These are not difficult problems to fix.
On Farage becoming incensed during an interview this week, I recall seeing the administration of councils as a test Reform would likely fail. Rhetoric only takes you so far. I hope Farage, his followers, and his well resourced benefactors face increasing scrutiny.
The official Kremlin site often confirms what is generally assumed. Its outline of Hungarian and Russian teams working together, and Orban and Putin being in close contact is interesting. Putin must be using all available means to cajole Orban and Fico. en.kremlin.ru/events/presi...
Mohammed bin Salman visited the White House in person the day before the scheduled release of the Epstein files. I wonder whether the Trump administration, Jared Kushner included, is also protecting him. www.npr.org/2025/11/18/g...
I cannot stand boxing, I take issue with those funneling money and publicity to Tate, but I was glad that Chase DeMoor hit this misogynist, abuser, and likely sociopath and serial rapist squarely and hard on the chin.
The brilliant @davidfrum.bsky.social shared the following Wall Street Journal article on X. It is devastating and would ordinarily be the sort of report that would bring down a presidency. www.wsj.com/world/russia...
And here he is on 17th January, 2018 defending Russian propaganda whilst criticising the BBC and the EU. There is much more of this in the European parliamentary records.
It is hard to find statements of his from the European Parliament which do not align with Kremlin interests. Coburn was a member of the EFDD, chaired by Nigel Farage and Nathan Gill, and he persistently rallied against measures to address money laundering. See: www.europarl.europa.eu/doceo/docume...
Hungary is also a major provider of medical kits and broadcast electronics to Russia. It has persistently tried to obstruct actions designed to help Ukraine , and the corruption at the highest levels looks endemic. I hope Orban's fortunes change in 2026. instituteofgeoeconomics.org/en/research/...
In London, I see even fewer stars, but I could quickly pick out the constellations in your photo from memories of living under darker skies. Early this year, I travelled deep into mid-Wales and saw skies so dark, I struggled to spot constellations in the myriad of stars - Spellbinding and too rare.
I'm absolutely aligned with your message. Companies and individuals responsible for climate disinformation need to be addressed too, as billions of dollars are being spent on deception campaigns reminiscent of those conducted by the tobacco industry. See social media bots too and the following:
Dimitriev is an interesting figure and he has a $10bn wealth fund under his control. He is operating very much as an agent of Kremlin influence. His ties to the AfD are strong. See his resumé. www.weforum.org/people/kiril... And see his support for the AfD here in Inveztia. en.iz.ru/en/1916572/2...
This is so pertinent Fionna. Brave journalists such as @carolecadwalla.bsky.social have been warning us about Russian interference in our democratic system. In 2012, Ambassador Yakovenko set up Conservative Friends of Russia with Matthew Elliott. Here he is with Farage: london.mid.ru/en/press-cen...
It might have been put on this path when Cameron adopted austerity and populism whilst empowering major conservative donors, and certainly when he tried to placate the Steve Bakers of the party by offering a 50% referendum on EU membership woth a 50% threshold. The 2015 election was seismic.
Bezos was mentioned in the WP article I read, but I saw it as offensive in its absolute capitulation. No normal presidency would surviv such a dramatic partial demolition of the White House and rhe buulding of an enormous hall for courtiers and sponsors. This should be 'the people's house'. L
Oof. An awful one-dimensional take by the WAPO editorial board, who are linked to the demolition by their common sponsor, Jeff Bezos. The ballroom's function is uniquely Trumpian. Trump invites the attention of sponsors, and any similarity to the Mar-a-Lago club ballroom (pictured) is no accident.
'Suspected of fishing' should be the go-to assumption when lives are at stake. Many fishing boats fit the characteristics of the boat that was hit, and what drug run would be interrupted with a stop suitable for catching fish? Hesgeth is evidencing his own crimes.
Looks like the url has changed. Google is showing what appears to be the original and now broken link.
Trump and Hesgeth gave off Beavis and Butthead vibes that contrasted with the quiet dignity of the military leaders, who are almost without exception, thoughtful, eloquent, and principled, and loyal to the constitution. The disgraced and pardoned General Mike Flynn is an outlier.
See @carolecadwalla.bsky.social She continues to do a phenomenal job in tracking these links as an investigative journalists and has fought vindictive lawsuits by powerful individuals intent on silencing her. Russia's systematic attempts to capture and leverage Britain's institutions needs exposing.
