After the interview time passes, I get another email telling me our interview was cancelled. Out of frustration, I email the interviewer, telling her the manner in which this was handled was unprofessional and inconsiderate. THEN I get a response:

Today isn't about me. It's about the people we lost. But I really like illustrating the good that came out of tragedy, especially since we seem to be surrounded by so much of it lately. PLEASE do not dull your shine. Just live. Unapologetically.
Pulse needed up being the catalyst for me finding the courage to come out as trans. I realized how short life could be, but how much power there was in reclaiming your true identity, separate from the one you were assigned. I don't have a single regret about it.
I didn't have the courage to go to the actual site until 2019. Went by myself. That same year, I went to my first Pride parade with my soon-to-be wife, @almack.bsky.social.
They're currently in the process of building the Pulse memorial on the site, but I think anyone who can should visit it. It's hard to illustrate the magnitude of what happened in Orlando, ten years ago today.

The cat is out of the bag! I’ll be competing in the LO206 Masters Division @ CKC this year in this beautiful FDM karting-prepped kart, after I get in the hard work and dedication of getting seat time and getting up to speed. I’ve waited for this moment since I was 13 years old. 💜

Spent the early afternoon in the pits at CKC with our friends at Over The Hill Racing, watching and learning the ins-and-outs of owning and maintaining a Briggs kart. Super, super cool experience!

Seven years ago today, I started HRT. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long.
Not the run I was hoping for in my Screen To Speed debut, getting swept up in wrecks in both race 1 and 2. BUT…. The broadcast was absolutely the best I’ve ever been a part of, and I can’t wait for the next round, where we take on a new car and track. Let’s go, ladies! 💜
HUGE news! I’m racing in the Init eSports Screen To Speed Spring Cup TOMORROW, starting at 3pm EST! Screen To Speed is an All-female eSports league that competes in different cars, at different tracks all over the world! The race will also be on YouTube and on Roku on esports Edge. LFG!!

Yall! I got my first PODIUM last night in the Radical Academy! Our final round saw some awesome racing throughout both the heat race & the feature, which I managed to snag 4th place in the first, then actually LEAD a few laps in the feature and secure a 3rd place! Can't wait to see what's next!💜
