Huh... That's quite a lot of new subs. I wonder what- Aaaaaa!!?! Being on the tapas community promo block is always exiting. Glad to see people discovering this weird webcomic of mine. ;u; tapas.io/series/Book-... [ #boc-comic ]
Getting so close to the finale of "Book of Change" book 1!! So excited!! >:D
Feeling pretty tired, so... Here's this absolute minimum effort terrible comic for the day. :"D [ #makeaterriblecomicday #makeaterriblecomicday2026 ]
Hi #WebcomicDay! I'm Minna and I toil on the webcomic "Book of Change". It is a weird mix of sci-fi themes, magical books and bitter sweet feels~ ✨read: tapas.io/series/Book-... The first book is almost done, so now is a good time to start or catch up with the latest pages! :D [ #boc-comic ]
I'm so close to getting all the pages for the first BoC book done! Currently wrapping up line-art for the very last panels. Many epilogue spreads are still in the middle of coloring phase, but the flatting step is mostly done. It feels incredible to be so close! [ #boc-comic ]
It's been... a while since I have drawn Edward in the comic, so made him a fresh reference sheet to remind myself how to draw this guy again. ... Why are you drawing him again? Nooo reason. [ #boc-comic #webcomic #characterdesign #charactersheet #art ]
My writing process for the comic is half-writing and half-thumbnailing. Size of the thumbnails varies from small to ridiculously teeny-tiny. Here are some examples of scenes from recent Book of Change pages. Warning for some spoilers, if you aren't caught up. [ #boc-comic #webcomic #thumbnails ]
And here's example of the teeny tiny scene doodles. These are some of the planning doodles from the recent BoC pages. Some of them I scanned and used as a base for the page layout sketch.
More early "Book of Change" concept art from 2016 and 2017 before launch of the comic. This time of our long-nosed magic book-man Murmeli. It took quite a lot practice before his design settled to his final form. [ #boc-comic #webcomic #characterdesign #conceptart #visualdevelopment #oldart ]
More early "Book of Change" concept art from 2016. Made this illustration to test out character dynamics between these two. It is interesting to see how much my art style improved between this test and launch of the comic in 2018. [ #boc-comic #webcomic #characterdesign #conceptart #oldart ]
Some early concept art of Esa from... 2016. :'D It is interesting to compare these early ideas with the design that ended up in the final comic. Especially glad that I didn't end up going with that puffer jacket. [ #boc-comic #webcomic #characterdesign #conceptart #visualdevelopment #oldart ]
Post a mage! Panel featuring Edward from the beginning of comic "Book of Change". Although Edward would prefer, if you kept quiet about the "mage" part. ✨Read here: tapas.io/series/Book-... [ #boc-comic #webcomic #webcomics ]
BoC update! Esa might be in a bit of a pinch... o.o" Read: tapas.io/episode/3749... [ #boc-comic #boc-comic-update #webcomic #webcomics ]
Describe your plot in five words or less - if you dare. "Programmer finds a real page-turner." [ #boc-comic #webcomic #webcomics ]
I'm confident in my ability to draw flowy shapes. I also love drawing expressions. I like that sometimes facial and body language can give hints what the character is thinking and feeling below the surface. [ #boc-comic #webcomic #webcomics #art ]

Here's the cover, the protagonist and the antagonist in single image. Now with 20% more leg room! (Really need to draw a new cover at some point...) [ #boc-comic #webcomic #webcomics ]
