Today's lunchbox doodle (kiddo is hiking and swimming at camp today).
We had some haze today that kept the temperature ten degrees lower than predicted and made the sun look like this in the afternoon. My kid thought it was the moon at first.
Camp this week so it's the return of the lunchbox doodles! Here is yesterday's and today's:
This is the face of a woman who is going home to sleep tonight (hubs and kiddo are camping with some friends in our town and there was a 6 person max on the site oh no so sad).
So I tried making iced coffee in a cocktail shaker and it's really good! I did a double shot of espresso, milk, and some pistachio syrup and shook it with ice, strained it into a glass with ice. Yummy!
My kiddo asked if I'd clip him a yellow rose from the bush so he could have it on the dresser in his room (yellow is his favorite color).
Look how much lavender I harvested and it's still loaded. 💜
I think I'm going to have to add her translations to the TBR. Also, same:
Reading The Forge of God by Greg Bear. WTF is with male sci-fi authors of a certain era where they have to let you know the physical attributes of every woman even barely mentioned in passing? #theforgeofgod #readingnotes
Always have a spotter, kids, because the other gym members don't give a SHIT if you drop dead next to them.
Hubs playing Star Citizen: "Lots of casualties in today's yoga session. Must've been intense."
I started lifting weights regularly. Made a garden border out of bricks. Almost done reading the Bob Dylan Chronicles book. Gregg Allman book is next (I borrowed both from my dad). Continued to use this type of joke:
Today's lunchbox doodle (tomorrow is a half day and then he's OUT!)
Today's and yesterday's lunchbox doodles: I asked for an object or creature (today hubs volunteered giraffe also).
Something ate the rose bush enough last year that it never bloomed, but look at it now!
