The most heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in Radushne, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where a Russian ballistic missile obliterated an ordinary family home. Five members of one family – two parents and their three children – were killed. Two more children were pulled alive from the rubble.

It is particularly meaningful that, 23 years ago, as Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration, he was among the first to support EYP-Ukraine, helping to lay the foundations for what has become one of Ukraine’s most impactful youth organizations.

Last week, I was delighted to join the presentation of the report prepared by the EYP Ambassadors on Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction. I was deeply impressed by the quality of the ideas and the thoughtful insights shared by young people from Ukraine and across Europe.

Dozens of ballistic missiles, including Iskander-M, S-400 and Zircon missiles, were fired simultaneously from multiple directions, targeting a city where millions of civilians are trying to live their lives.

Another horrific night for Kyiv. Russia launched what is believed to be the largest ballistic missile attack on Ukraine’s capital since the start of the full-scale invasion.

It was a deeply poignant and emotional moment. I was given a Ukrainian flag covered with the names of those who remain missing. Behind every name is a family living between hope and uncertainty, refusing to give up, waiting for the day they can embrace their loved one again.

Overnight Russia attacked Kyiv with 68 missiles and 351 attack drones, killing at least 14 people in Kyiv and the surrounding region and injuring dozens more. Once again, ordinary homes became the target.
