I never played but I read the comic Rob Guillory did of it and it seemed like a neat supernatural take with a big focus on maybe not quite redemption but acceptance and self forgiveness for restless spirits. I'm pretty sure I only saw a small portion of its mythos with The Boo Hag

I loved the hidden Excalibur weapon in boss rush mode in Castlevania Aria of Darkness. Dracula's reincarnation couldn't pull it out and clubbed people with the rock still firmly embedded in the sword. :)
