riding from purdue to IND is only slightly less depressing than purdue to ORD.

happy fourth of july to amtrak and the postal service and the national park service and not much else

a bi-level amtrak pacific surfliner passenger car. it has a blue, white, and unpainted stainless steel exterior, with blue/white stripes and alert lights at the front. it is stopping at an outdoor platform during the day.

a view of the ocean and shoreline from inside the train. the sky is partly cloudy with a marine layer visible in the distance. a bee plush with black head, fuzzy yellow/black stripes, and grey mesh wings is in the bottom left. it is a similar time of day.

a city councilmember shared a story that, as of ~3 hrs ago, there haven’t been any ICE/DHS agents spotted at any hotel in burbank. unsure if the situation has changed since then.
