Oh, so there's a "From the Abyss"... not to confused with "Tales of the Abyss"!
It’s #RandomGameSaturday, except it’s not because this isn’t random at all! It is of course Final Fantasy X, seen here with its sequel X-2 and its HD Remaster on PS4, as I’ve just started a new game of it. Still one of my favourite games ever!
There’s always a voice in the back of my mind: “why not play a new game, instead of one you’ve completed literally a dozen times?” Then I remember that I’m an adult, I can do whatever I want, and don’t have to justify it to anyone. So, Final Fantasy X it is! 😁
In the opening episode of Vision of Escaflowne, Hitomi finds out that her high school crush is moving to another country. Not to be outdone, Hitomi decides to go one better: moving to another planet! It's a pity that the very handsome alien dragonslayer Van is a bit of a jerk, though... 😅
It’s #RandomGameSaturday and- oh you know what, I’m not even gonna make up an excuse cos it’s Sunday now! Anyway, here’s Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace for PS1! Notable for including the Duel of the Fates video on the main menu, and also for being able to kill Jar Jar Binks with a grenade.
In Back to the Future III for the Master System, if you don’t save poor Clara in time she’ll go right over the edge of the ravine - but still manages an (anachronistic) quip on the way down!
Possibly related to the legendary Mr. Yorkshire Bank Plc Are Fascist Bastards...
Every time I read about Darkened Skye I learn something newly unbelievable about it. Like the fact that it was sold in a double pack with Outlaw Golf on the GameCube! 😅
The EU physical edition is a download code in a box. How does this work now it’s delisted?
The first time I’ve seen the legendary Quest 64 aka Holy Magic Century in the wild! 😅
I'm watching New Game!!, an anime series about cute girls working in a game studio. Not quite Shirobako levels of detail but it's funny and very well animated. In one episode, I noticed an odd-looking peripheral on a shelf. It's a train simulator controller from Densha de Go 2 on the Dreamcast! 😄
Here he is, menacing Mickey at the end of the game, compared to his movie counterpart. He's recoloured and called "the Phantom" in-game, but his sprite is clearly recognisable as the Horned King.
I kind of wish it had had a startup logo screen, like the DS. They could have used this animation, which was on all of the ads.
So, the “conversion therapy ban” is practically unenforceable because it effectively requires practitioners to admit that that’s what they’re doing. C.S. Lewis’s “robber barons vs. omnipotent moral busybodies” quote is truly evergreen.
