We have destroyed our planet and the only thing humanity should be working on right now is fixing this! Why we don’t, and why we pretend this crisis isn’t happening is something I will never understand.
At 5:30am on a long weekend the Pm2.5 in Toronto is over 5x the level WHO considers healthy. The Portlands plant is chugging along, but traffic and congestion was a factor yesterday, so for the love of god leave your single occupancy gas guzzling SUV home, so we can all breath and be alive.
Toronto today, yes those are people swimming and of course the traditional shorts and Ts seen on postal workers, because it was over 10C after all 😊
Here is a graph of Ontario’s energy in 2021, notice how our output from gas doubled since. You are not paying attention, or you don’t care. I see the huge plumes of the Portland plant daily, and 3million people breath them. There is a huge cost to that 16% from gas.
@mark-carney.bsky.social when will your government update the travel advisory for the US? Armed militia across the US targeting POCs in increasingly violent attacks, are you sure normal precautions suffice?
What about the US? Why not condemn the use of violence against their own citizens in the US? Or at least tell Canadians it’s no longer safe to travel there, because in a country that can throw you in jail without due process, we should advise for way more than normal precautions.
This along with the increase in car size and somewhat poor street designs in Toronto is why our streets are not safe for pedestrians and cyclists.
In the chaos before the holidays, I borrowed this book from TPL, mostly because it was available as a 7 day skip the line. It’s been a pleasure reading it, one of my favourite reads this year 😊

Re: TDSB specialized program admission How it used to be: equitable lottery process prioritizing kids How it’s going: nobody knows anything 🙃
I spent a week in Iceland recently, it was amazing, but the think that absolutely blew my mind was the co2 readings inside their busy buildings. We need clean energy to have clean air! Covid and climate action are forever linked and our children’s future depends on it. #cleanAir #climateaction
I feel like I’m saying goodbye to an old friend, somehow got to the bottom of this Costco sized bottle 😅
If you ever wonder if hepa filters are worth it, this is what my pre-filter looks like after 2 months, I live in the city with 3 pets and 3 kids, and have one of these in every room in my home and they all look like this after 6-8 week of use!!! Some of this gunk would have gone into our lungs 😬
I’m having difficulty understanding the graph you shared. I wonder if the 5 day delay isn’t linked to timing of the swab for the survey data and not onset of symptoms. The study also includes this graph which is a little more reassuring. Any chance you can clarify?
Portland Energy Centre, today in Toronto. This is what’s powering your heat pump and your electric car thanks to Doug Ford and his minister or electrification.
Not pretty, quick built during one of the last days off before the December retail rush. These two boxes along with masking, and low CO2 levels has kept me and my employees covid free so far this December 🤞 Forever grateful for the CR box design 🥰
When your business is retail and winter is coming: refreshed CR boxes, because #covid and the flu are both airborne. #cleantheair #covidIsNotOver
