Checking in from DC this morning for the beginning of a two day DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee meeting. The real fireworks will be tomorrow - determining the states that will go early, before Super Tuesday, in the 2028 Presidential Primary, and who will be first.
I do not recommend getting a hole in your roof during Central Texas monsoon season
“The burial didn’t take long; the body was far smaller than the heart it had held.” Keyser 2013-2026
Thoroughly enjoyed Backrooms, fits perfectly into my growing collection of “the horror of incomprehensible scale,” which has really been hitting hard for me lately.
In DC this week for the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee, hearing from the 12 states bidding to appear early in 2028. What am I’m looking for in an early state? Competitive and diverse. Looking forward to hearing from states about how they’ll contribute towards those goals!
Time to find out if the carpet really is greener on the other side. #txlege
Shout out to these Amazon knockoff Avengers sticker sets that include money for Iron Man’s accessories and a watch and a pair of hand grenades (?!) for The Hulk.
Our DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee (RBC) meeting is about to begin so we can discuss the delegate selection rules for 2028! I’m setting the over/under at 5.5 hours - do y’all think we get out while the sun is still up?
This time next week, I will be headed to New Orleans for the DNC’s 2026 Spring Meeting. Thankfully, I booked well before the current spike in fuel prices, but that still doesn’t make flight and hotel cheap. 1/5
Here's my report from the January 2026 DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee (RBC) meeting, where we discussed the 12 states that have applied to appear in the early window before Super Tuesday in the 2028 Democratic Presidential Primary. (1/2)
Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, and in the West, Nevada and New Mexico. What states do you believe should be in that early window? Who do you think should be first? 3/3
We must pick at least one per region, with the option to pick a fifth from anywhere. The states that bid for this are, in the East, Delaware and New Hampshire, in the Midwest, Illinois, Iowa, and Michigan, in the South, … 2/3
Coming to you live from the very beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico for a DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee meeting. We have officially begun the process of choosing the 4 or 5 early states that will hold their contests early, before Super Tuesday, for the 2028 Presidential Primary. 1/3
I’m happy that I had a New Years Resolution this past year that I could easily quantify, track, and now celebrate - 365 days straight of at least 10,000 steps and every ring closed!
RIP bookshelf of signed books and Stephen King first editions, not an ideal shelf to collapse if I had to pick one
Why even bother buying my toddler any toys, all she wants to play with is a Parmesan shaker
Pretty stark divide in the Texas Senate Democratic Primary regarding General Election performance if Rep. Crockett really does take the NRSC bait: “James Talarico has the widest advantage in favorability” (+30) vs “Nearly half say they would definitely not vote for Jasmine Crockett” (-8)
IT: Welcome to Derry E05, 29 Neibolt Street ✅✅ Dick Hallorann still the highlight of the series + Doctor Sleep ref ✅ Pennywise freeze and retreat looks genuinely good 〰️ Tiring of the Maturin tease ❌ Waste of Neibolt tbh ❌❌ Please stop with the shaky run at camera “scares”
America’s first go at a multi party system creating some interesting results
How much sleep do I get on average? Well I actually got 8 hours last night and my phone warned me that was a major outlier.
