I take pics of things that catch my eye, enjoy abstract art | processes | nature | science. Life long European 🇪🇺🇬🇧 believer in democracy and of living sustainably.
The froglets are starting to leave the safety of their small pond, in various stages of development, some are totally developed, some still have a stub of a tail. I hope they make it, there's little out there in this area, very few ponds or proper greenery unfortunately #amphibians
I posted a pic a while back of the tadpoles I rescued, well, I would estimate there's about 150 left, some of them are losing their tails. I've built a moist environment for them to move into out of the water. I'm hoping 20 or so make it to maturity #amphibians #nature
I did actually take apart the laptop on Saturday so it's replaced, really sloppy design though.
There's a growing family of coal tits in this bird box, mom and dad are working tirelessly to keep the food coming. Sorry for the crap pic, didn't want to disturb them
I'm making the most of the lilies. I think I tried to channel Mapplethorpe here, that was the plan #flowers #blackandwhite #photography
I know some people aren't keen on spiders, this little guy is about as big as an ant to keep it in perspective #invertebrates
I'll add to all the other #flowers out there, calla lilies are probably my favourites #photography
This little guy hitched a ride on my bag today, weird how it has a false face #invertebrates
The pesky storm the other week smashed my favourite tulips. I think this is called a double tulip, or something like that. I'm amazed at how early flowers are blooming, the weather has gone to hell.
First butterfly of the year, (holly blue). I think this one emerged today due to the wings being translucent #invertebrates #butterflies
We could avoid a lot of the crazy stuff going on in the world today with one simple measure. All political candidates, and I mean all, should undergo vigorous psychological screening, from an independent, incorruptible body. I'm guessing that would reduce the pool by about 85%
Does anyone recognize the design on this brass button? I reckon it was made between 1920-50 by Pitt Co, London. I know it's a long shot, I'm out of ideas, sometimes I have to know about things, this is one of them🤔🧐😅
I decided to rescue all the frog spawn this year, so there's probably going to be a lot of frogs #amphibian #nature
I think it might have been related to the construction work going on nearby. They have built an enclosure that covers the entire house. It could have been the wind blowing through, not sure though. Alien visitors is more exciting🤔😅
If you resist taking down your Christmas tree, as i do, this is for you. I'll get there, next month probably, the cats really love it too, is that a good reason? Blurry images are in my future
