Well I read this. I am assured it is a masterpiece of world literature. It is very rare I come away from a ‘masterpiece’ book without a feeling that I see some part of the world differently. This one? To me it read like a jumbled draft and not a single scene or phrase sticks with me. Disappointing!

Epic day yesterday with Jovana and max - biked Braemar to past Derry lodge, then Cairn Toul and Braerich and back to bikes and home. Picked 2kg of chanterelles on bike home and got back to Braemar behind a stag galloping down the road. 13hr and sore feet today!
