Last nights Buck moon played a large part to the contents of the trap this morning. Just 13 species. Apple Leaf Miner, Lyonetia clerkella. Bucculatrix thoracella. Square-spot Rustic, Xestia xanthographa and Silver Y, Autographa gamma #teammoth
My son has become Dragonfly and Damselfly obsessed after watching an episode of Steve Backshall. So a trip to Thursley NNR was in order.
From just the last few days. Blue tit, Jay, Mistle thrush, Great spotted woodpecker, Collard dove, Magpie, House Sparrow, Buzzard, Tawny owl, Canada goose.
From the trap this morning, Scarce Bordered Straw, Helicoverpa armigera. Bird's wing, Dypterygia scabriuscula. Calybites phasianipennella f. quadruplella and Jersey tiger, Euplagia quadripunctaria ab. lutescens #teammoth

Lots of Common Lizard, Zootoca vivipara on the boardwalks at Thursley NNR thus week. My 7 yo son instantly became Steve Irwin and tried to catch one, without success.
Find of the walk yesterday. Was this Mistle Thrush, Turdus viscivorus outer tail feather.

I spent a few hours with my boys at Tice's meadow, Surrey, this morning. We spent 5 minutes watching the dancing Yellow-barred Long-horn moths, Nemophora degeerella. #teammoth
Some of the micros from the trap last night. Large Fruit-tree Tortrix, Archips podana.Marbled Orchard Tortrix, Hedya nubiferana. Pseudargyrotoza conwagana and Variegated Golden Tortrix Archips xylosteana. It will be interesting to compare with tonight's trap. #teammoth
