When you press start and sat nav says theres an hour and a half delay on the journey home 😔
Finished reading Ctrl+Alt+Chaos by @joetidy.bsky.social. Its an interesting look into young hackers who commit criminal activities, how that happens and what the consequences are. NGL, its all quite terrifying.
Imdb describes Rivals as a Period Drama. Googling this term returns: Historical Setting: They take place in an era older than recent memory. In period dramas, "older than recent memory" refers to the Victorian or Edwardian eras (roughly the mid-19th century to 1910. The 80's is NOT a Period Drama!
Had a little nosy round Leigh Hackspace yesterday. Its a community run makerspace and it has ALL the tools. Theres 3D printers, a dark room, wood and metalwork area, electronics stuff, all sorts. Will be popping in again soon for help with something ive been trying and failing to do.
I'm very lucky to live within travelling distance of some great cyber events. M2600 last night was a brilliant catchup with existing and new members. If you'd like to join a social gathering with good convos I'd recommend a 2600 meetup. Theres plenty of them around.
Stayed in a lovely hotel in Exeter prior to attending BSides Exeter. It had fancy windows, a chandelier and creepy paintings. Food was decent in the bar and was a great place to chill and people watch.
Brother hates birthdays and doesn't entertain present giving so each year we take him out for a meal. That means I get to enjoy lovey food too😋 Had a lovely lasagne today.
Easter dinner with the fam done. Belly fit to burst. Nola enjoyed her takeaway dinner.
BSides Lancahire on Thursday was so much fun. Cracking talks, fun activities and awesome humans. Things I learned I can’t easily tell AI from human generated content. Tom blue has a naming convention for his friends. Certain fruit is to be protected and not removed until Lindsay has liberated it
Finished reading Rinsed. Such an interesting read. I love @geoffwhite247.bsky.social style of writing. Feels like you're in a pub and someone's telling a really good story so everyone stops to listen.
Have been given a bunch of random stickers. Will add to the next charity sticker stall i see.
When someone says they'll look into something for you then give you the same information you gave to them in the first place.
Love these toilet signs. Bit different but not so much you cant tell which is which.
