Some butterflies for some caterpillar girls… wishing @godwina.bsky.social and @brynorwen.bsky.social the best time today. Wish I was there!!
It is beautiful, and filmed in my area. Gives real humanity to images like this:
The world is dark and scary. But bright blue skies and snow flocked trees are still good for the soul.
Certainly not the prettiest thing I’ve ever cooked 😂 but my third attempt at smoked vegan sausage is quite tasty.
MASH is so good. It definitely shows its age in what was culturally acceptable at the time (there is a lot of sexism and other very not pc content) but the character development and overall message is great.
Of the 25 or so Dahlias I planted this is my first flower. Fingers crossed for late frost… #spokanegardening
Finally got the new Patrick Wolf, Crying the Neck. It is beautiful, cathartic and sorrowful. Exactly what I need right now.
Loved the look of Punch while shifting periodicals this summer. #librarywork
Absolutely gorgeous night at the Spokane Pavillion with @deathcabforcutie.bsky.social Seriously more bands should play here. We had lightening, sunset, moonrise, excellent music and sound quality- perfection.
Such a good book. Highly recommend all Heather Christle’s work. #InTheRhododendrons And learned a new word!
Yes coffee was good and good view so all was well. Just felt like I walked into some surreal dream scape for a few minutes!!
This mild spring weather has made for an excellent lilac display. Best my hedge has ever looked! #spokanegarden
RIP Tom Robbins. One of my favorite passages from Still Life With Woodpecker.
Just when I think I have totally maxed out on cooking gadgets I find out about stovetop smokers. The tofu is so good I think I may need a huge outdoor smoker now to keep up with demand.
I was so glad to see bootcut jeans leave and I will not welcome them back. Kitten heels on the other hand those I held onto!
I have a stash of calendars for years past at work, and lo and behold I have a repeating year! Wish I hadn’t made notes in it but will be nostalgic to remember what days I had haircuts, doctors appointments, and concerts 22 years ago. (2003 & 2014 repeat 2025 FYI).
New year starting a new book, with an appropriately matched bookmark. Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore.
Glad you quantified ‘contemporary’ because this guy I think will always be Spokane’s sexiest star 🌟
