#Deer and #chickens yesterday afternoon. Mama doe and her twins hung out for over an hour and didn't mind the poultry interlopers. ☺️ We're still amazed at how close this doe comes to our house. She makes eye contact with us, but the fawns aren't overly fazed. 😆

My husband has a head cold. I put the #chickens to bed a couple of nights ago, though they were reluctant to head into the coop. Snapped all eight that evening; only one, Cami, was looking away. ☺️

Hand-quilting this gorgeous heart and I had to pause for a photo. The pink, yellow and teal-ly flowers caught my eye in a This is why I hand-quilt kind of manner. 💓 I'm gifting this when it's done, so I won't admire this heart later. Best to savor life as we live it. Fabrics too. ☺️ #joy #quiltsky

A warm #summer day in #Humboldtcounty. Less wind than previously. Few clouds. Roses decorate the ancient dog run now christened the Broody Hen Condo. #Chickens trill in the background. Wind chimes and chirping birds accentuate the breeze. A book waits nearby. Pretty darn perfect. Yup, #summertime. 💗

An English paper-pieced sampler quilt adhered onto a design wall by batting. Quilt encompasses several different blocks in vibrant colours as well as low-volume fabrics.

Interspersed within the thirty blocks, all made from scrap fabric, are two-inch hexagons in a variety of prints.
