In 2013 I decided to rip out the concrete and grass in my back garden and try to convert it into a wildlife haven. It's still a work in progress but I am so blessed to have these as regular visitors this year and know they have somewhere to thrive.

The UK has it's issues with the US's leadership at the moment but there are some things that go beyond the politics. It's Memorial Weekend in the US and I join with them in honouring the ultimate sacrifice made by it's military personnel, many who fought alongside our military, to preserve freedom.

Made a start on this years landscaping project, removing the original, somewhat uneven stairs and seeing what, if any, repairs need doing to the retaining wall. In an effort to prevent too much stiffness I'm about to collapse in a hot bath with a glass of red and hope I don't fall asleep.

Personal Request Devastated to go into the garden today and find four recently deceased frogs around the pond area. It appears we have an outbreak of Ranavirus in our population which could wipe out the majority of the colony. Anybody who knows me knows how attached I am to our garden's frogs. 1/3
