@transit.app two wishlist requests. Can we know the destination of trains if they are scheduled to turn around before the end of their line. This Yellow train wasn't going to Greenbelt. Also, if you could share how many cars are on the train it helps to know which entrance of a platform to use.

Friday's candidate filings have been updated. There are two new candidates in ANC 4E. No new updates in 4C or 4D.
There is just one new candidate so far this week in ANC 4C. We now have two candidates in 4C07, which is good news considering one of the candidates' singular focus on removing the 5th St bike lane in front of their house. No changes and no candidates yet in 4D or 4E.
About 30 minutes after this trip ended I got to the rate my trip screen and that I couldn't exit out of. I have to force quit the app.
@transit.app I'm having a bunch of issues with the app especially at the end of trips. I can't close trips or even force them to end. I tried the contact us email through chat in the app but it wouldn't work. Debug ID plqtRCeiQ3DU.
The candidate application process to run for ANC seats in DC has opened. Its open through August 5. I'll track which Petworth area districts have candidates (blue dots). They still need to submit 25+ signatures to qualify. If you are interested in running I am happy to talk. #ANCRacesToWatch

Another Interesting email opt-out practice. This is from @ncaa.bsky.social where if you want to unsubscribe you are first required to provide additional data about yourself, a first and last name, otherwise the form won't allow you to submit your request.

Fast forward and CM Brooke Pinto who chairs the Judiciary and Public Safety Committee with 911 oversight introduced the Secure DC legislation to mandate public reporting of 911 mistakes and corrective action. The only problem is that 911 has chosen not report all mistakes.

On OUC (911) Dashboard where they need to report dispatch mistakes the date selector fields to search records has no manual input. You need to scroll through every day in a tiny dropdown menu from 2023 - present. A simple input field along with a calendar grid drop down would make this more usable.
On DPW's leaf tracker site a user needs to check this confirmation box in order to click OK and close the modal. There does not appear to be any reason why the user needs to confirm this checkbox message. It is just an extra layer of friction for limited or no value.
@transit.app a wishlist feature request. I'd like the option of selecting a bypass route when I'm on a trip. I can connect via a third line here and save time. I have to manually go back and check times. I wish it would tell me there is a new faster route.
